We stayed at this place in March, 2023 for two nights as part of a small group. The location is excellent, close to the Sandi Pass. The country side is beautiful and it was nice to stay in a quite place in a country setting. We stayed in the Rose Cottage that gave us privacy and it was like our own little country home. Overall I was disappointed and felt this place had room to make some needed and easy improvements. First off the service in the dining room was very slow and the food was OK but not above average. At breakfast they only hald one working french press for maiking coffee so it too the better part 30 minutes to get a coffee. The food service at breakfast was also very slow for both breakfast sittings and I had to chase down the staff to place my order and to get it as they either forgot to place the order in the kitchen or gove my meal to someone else. All and all it was frustrating, the staff was friendly but lacked a certian focus on their clients. Certain parks of the grounds are very pretty and looking outside the farm is georgeous, however, this is not a wokring farm and the grounds need some care. There were items disgarded along side the driveway in making is look unkept. What looked like a beautiful green house in it’s day is used as a dump for discarding equipment, items, lumbere, etc. This is very visible as you walk the yard, a bitof an eyessore and giving the impression the place has seem better days. There just seems to be a certain lack in maintaining the property to the degree it should be.

Kevin was a gracious host and his guest house is perfectly positioned to trundle off up the majestic Sani Pass and enjoy the lovely surrounds of Himeville. The Livingstone room was luxurious and we sincerely appreciated the aircon as it was scorching 🥵 ☀️ I would highly recommend for a scenic breakaway by couples or groups.

The accommodation is beautiful and decorated with luxurious style. The units are spacious and the beds comfortable, the bath tub is a spoil. The view is spectacular! Unfortunately the borehole broke and we were without water for a whole day. Treat yourself to dinner at the restaurant - the chef is 5 star!

We booked this guesthouse based on the website images, but the reality was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, we found the double room cottage in a filthy state with human hair wrapped around a rose tucked into our towels on the bed obviously left behind by the previous guests, cobwebs everywhere, and moth cocoons and other insects on the curtains and walls that clearly hadn’t been closed or cleaned in a long time.||||After a long and exhausting trip, we hoped to relax with a warm shower and get some rest, but the shower didn’t work. We went to bed disappointed, only to be kept awake all night by loud noises of rats running through the ceiling. The noise was so intense that we kept waking up to check if they had entered the room.||||The next morning, we called to complain about the state of the room and requested the shower be fixed as we needed to prepare for a wedding. We went out for breakfast to give the staff time to clean and repair the issues, but when we returned, nothing had been done, in fact, the shower head was missing entirely.||||Thankfully, we had family staying in another room and were able to shower and get ready there. Later, while back in our cottage, someone began banging on our door. The door didn’t open properly, and the owner’s wife was trying unsuccessfully to enter. Expecting an apology or offer of alternative accommodation, I approached her with a smile, but instead she confronted us aggressively. She mentioned hearing complaints about the room and offered a refund in an unfriendly tone.||||We agreed to the refund, but when she said we needed to check out first, we explained that we were part of the wedding party and couldn’t do that. She then told us to leave immediately, saying “we don’t want people like you here.” After exchanging a few words, she stormed off, and shortly after, the owner called to say he was evicting us and had called security to remove us. You can imagine the moving a family of 4 whilst trying to get to a wedding on time.||||My husband agreed to leave but insisted on a refund, which the owner initially agreed to. However, the refund was never issued. When we followed up in writing, we were told to “leave things as they are” and that he would no longer engage with us.||||We strongly advise against staying here. The positive ratings and reviews are completely misleading, and this place should have its rating removed. Will be reporting them to the National Consumer Commission (NCC) and Tourism Grading...
