ATKV Natalia — Hotel in KwaZulu-Natal

It's my first time at Natalia ATKV this week and I've read some other reviews. I can see its very mixed as some people have had bad experiences while others are very happy. For me it comes down to what you are expecting before arriving and what time of year you go. It's a 3 star hotel so don't expect fancy modern rooms or world class facilities. As a place to stay for a beach vacation it's good. I can only speak for room 318 but for the price it's pretty nice. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay including ample storage for clothes and toiletries. The room has some basic cutlery and dishes as well as a full size fridge/freezer, a stove, dining table, tv with channels that work and a nice bathroom with a shower that works well to get all that beach sand off. The recreational facilities in the courtyard is well kept and safe for children. The swimming pool is clean and always warm. The restaurant is well priced and the food is awesome. Their Sticky Chicken pizza is one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. Last thing to note is the private beach. There are no weirdos and it's not overcrowded. I didn't see a single piece of trash on yhe beach or in the water while I was there. Visited the resort for a weekend . I am totally disgusted with the racism and poor service I received from the staff members more specifically the security on duty .I was enjoying a game of put out with my fellow colleagues when the security guard came to us about 4 times and insisted we end the game now because the cut of time for outdoor activities are at 10:00pm , this was at approximately 9:30 . I explained to him that the cut of time is 10:00pm but he continued to harass Us. This place is supposed to be a holiday resort for people to come and enjoy themselves and have a fun time not to be treated like prisoners and be harassed by the staff . The life guard had no issues when he saw a “White guy” diving into the pool but had an issue when I , an Indian person dived in . I felt like I was in an apartheid era once again when I was victimised due to my skin colour. The guard has a problem with anyone walking around after 10:00pm . Is this a holiday resort? The rooms where tiny and had none of the essentials that a holiday resort should have. The showers are dirty with broken doors and no soap at all . The management treats you as if you are staying in a prison. I would not recommend this place to anyone after the way I was...

I personally love this place me and my girlfriend when there last year and this year as well and just WOW it is really great place to take a family even if you go alone just to get away it is amazing always so clean and all the staff is very friendly and it's really quiet and that is great especially when you need some quite. They do have wifi They have camp areas that seems nice The also have pool table and windhokkie and an other game just have to pay with cash to play and then there is also Pat pat with different sizes if golf sticks and balls and then there is a waterside as well and chest big chest And if you like animals as much as I do I just love to see the ducks and ducklings and the cats and the monkeys I don't know if they clean the beach but we went to other beaches as well and well the the beach there was so clean you can see if the water go back in you can see the shells also going back in okay yeah there were some garbage one the beach but compared to the other beaches I would much rather swim in there sea and walk ons that beach And if you smoke they have a very nice...
