La Mer at Illovo Beach — Hotel in KwaZulu-Natal

We stayed in unit 37, a beautifully updated 3 bed/2 bath apartment. We loved the apartment! It was very spacious and fit our family of 5 perfectly. The kitchen was fully stocked. It had a washer (no dryer -which was a bummer, but we were able to hang out clothes out to dry on the very large covered terrace). It even had a large BBQ outside that was available to use. Our host, Gabi, was easy to communicate with and checked in with us often to ensure every need was met. The community is very safe, with 24/7 guard at the gate and close security monitoring. Apartment (unit 16) located right at the beachfront. The beach can be seen even when inside the rooms. The apartment has 3 bedrooms and each one has an aircon, plenty wardrobes and ensuite with bath tub and shower. Master bedroom also has a tv. Thank you Burger, for such a lovely mid-winter break! The apartment was so comfortable and had everything we needed. Specially loved all the little complimentary spices, herbs, eggs, juice, etc etc! The decor is beautiful and inviting, soft furnishings so comfy! But the best part of it all - the private beach! I still dream of taking the stairs down to the path, and sinking my toes into the sand and sea. Thank you for sharing this heavenly place...
