I booked three nights with the Golf course boutique hotel in Mount Edgecombe Durban and they had no electricity and no alternative were made to accommodate us. It is such a shame that a beautiful establishment has such terrible management. The two ladies we dealt with was totally unprofessional especially the general manager Mogie! At first we were told it was cable theft and the problem would be resolved shortly then it was the substation⌠when I booked I asked about a generator and I was told that they donât have a generator due to the fact that they donât experience load shedding being next to a frail care facility however when the incident happened, I was told that the generator went for service⌠We had no hot water to shower and the weather was extremely cold. They mentioned on the second day that there would be a generator however as per the security the generator was for a guest and it was switched off by the time we got to the hotel. I requested the details of the owner the both ladies refused to give me the details or get him to contact me.. My parents got wet in the rain and came back to a hotel with no hot water. My parents were so tired every night and they could not even shower before going to bed and they had to wake up each morning and go shower somewhere else. This is really unacceptable and it was a big inconvenience to us. I had to book an alternative hotel at 11:30 pm on the second night because there was no hot water. They are terrible at communicating and there wasnât anyone on shift at night that we could at least speak to. We had a busy schedule and didnât spend anytime at the hotel and the most disappointing thing was how rudely the situation was dealt with! I will never recommend this hotel nor book there ever again! Lee was very polite and helpful the only good thing about that place! We were only compensated for the first night but the biggest inconvenience was the second and third night. No written apology note or message from management but every time I called the GM wasnât able to talk much because her battery was low. At the end of the day I am a paying guest and my needs she have been taken care of which...
Read moreI would like share my appreciation for the beautiful stay at your hotel. The stunning dÊcor was exactly as depicted on your website, and it felt just as impressive in person when we walked into our rooms.
During our family stay, we occupied four rooms, and every single one of us thoroughly enjoyed it. While we usually stay in Umhlanga when visiting Durban, we decided to try your hotel this time and were pleasantly surprised by the serene and peaceful environment, which was a welcome change from the loud and busy atmosphere of Umhlanga.
Another highlight was the hotelâs central location, which made it easy to access any part of Durban. This convenience was perfect for our plans.
Your staff were incredibly accommodating and attentive to all our requests, which added to the overall positive experience.
We will definitely be returning! Regards...
Read moreMy family and I have found our perfect home away from home when we are in Durban. This place is just amazing. We stayed here for 10 days with family. GCBG is very, very clean and family friendly and caters for business conferences as well. Hot and cold breakfasts available, if required. The cleaning staff are so polite and friendly and are on site daily and rooms are cleaned daily, if required. The managers are always professional and willing to help to make our stay more memorable. We loved every moment. The photos of the place, used for advertising, are real and authentic. Location is just perfect _ close to malls, garage, eating places. We will definitely visit again and again. âŁď¸Thank you to the ...
