INYONI ROCKS CAN KEEP YOUR DEPOSIT FOR DAMAGES WITHOUT PROOF OR CONTACTING YOU. Why I asked? Because its akward for them to let you know there is something wrong, and they assume you know you did something wrong, so they dont need to let you know. Please take photos or videos to cover yourself when you book out.
Our stay at Inyoni Rocks has always been pleasant, and last year was no exception. The flat we got booked into, was the only one available, and outdated compared some of the other units we stayed in. We did however have such a terrible experience regarding our deposit after our stay, it is still not sorted out. The admin staff are helpful, and referred us to the office Manager, I see someone else did post her name on one of the other reviews, she did not say she is the office manager, and I thought I have been dealing with the lady overseeing the Cleaners. The story changes so many times, when I question it, I was met with a defensive manager. I specifically asked for proof, but somehow everyone deleted the photo they took. The date on the photo states 1 week after we booked out. Other people had been living there then. When I asked for a screen shot of the original photo with date information, I was told they all clean their phones once the photo was emailed, so they can have space. The more I tried to explain that this is dishonest on so many levels, the lady was so defensive and i was told she cant deal with me anymore. After she told me she will get the photo from the Housekeeper. Now she is going to contact the Trustees, and they will decide on my deposits fate. I am not as worried about the deposit as I am worried about their business integrity and honesty. if they dont need to let anyone know about keeping their deposits, what does this mean? I was told now I have to wait, I asked to speak to her senior, or have an alternative contact, and i was refused. So I am truly worried about the email that the Trustees will get, as I have had so many stories change. Even the couch was first a leather couch, with a spot on, then it needed to be recovered because the leather was pulled of. Then when I argued it was a fabric set, then it changed from a mark, to burn mark. Also every conversation she referred to my children doing this and that. So not only do the stories change, but you as a customer get blocked from talking to someone who can help, or cares about customer service. I was also told by another member in the office, she cant help me, I have to go through this lady, and when the trustees send their answer, she will ask 'her' to fw the email to me. Which i am waiting for with baited breath.
Such a pity, as this has always been such a great place to go...
Read moreWe holidayed at Inyoni Rock Cabanas, for 2 weeks, from Friday 27th January to Sunday 12th February. The complex is right next to the beach, and most of the units are sea-facing. Our ground floor, Number 4 unit, upstairs had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and balcony, whilst downstairs had a lounge/dining room, kitchen, guest toilet and patio. The cabana was well furnished, including a fully equipped kitchen, bed linen and bathroom towels. The cabanas were serviced every day except Sunday. The complex is fully secured with security guards, own parking, contains a large and pleasant braai/barbeque area, as well as an enclosed swimming pool area close to our unit. The 3km long golden sandy beach was perfect for long walks and sun tanning. Opposite the cabana complex is a salt water public pool, manned by life guards from 6am to 5pm. A small portion of the sea can also be swum in, as demarcated and protected by the life guards. 150 metres away is a Spur restaurant, as well as the Thirsty Whale pub/restaurant - where we ate frequently with it's reasonable priced food and drinks. There is also the small Splash water slide complex, perfect for kids. Being off-season, the cabana price was most reasonable, and the beach was mostly empty, possibly 50 people weekdays and 150 people weekends. The weather was wonderful, averaging 29C days and 21C nights. Although the complex is well administered by trustees, most of the units are individually owned, so the quality of furnishing and kitchen equipment are dependent on the owner. We had a wonderful holiday - without any complaint, and highly recommend this complex and area...
