Jr Guest House — Hotel in KwaZulu-Natal

I was looking for a comfortable stay in Durban and finally zeroed down to jr. My experience was fantastic. Mrs rosa is an excellent host , ever smiling and you can feel her Portuguese hospitality. Morning breakfast were great to start your day. On last day I had to leave early morning . Rosa ensured plenty of fruits are placed in my room a night before . She stayed back especially to say good bye early morning 5 am. Truly amazing and great hospitality !!!!!!!!!. Room no. 5 where I stayed for three nights was awesome with green view of Durban and rising sun. Clean rooms with LCD TV and hot showers in bathroom , I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. They can think of providing microwave in the rooms. Surely I will stay at this place next...

I have never been made feel so VERY important at any guest rest accommodation like i have been at JR GUESTHOUSE. From the moment of arrival till the moment of departure you are made to feel very loved...the staff is well trained and very friendly...not to mention professional(keep up the good work Sne).||Mama Rosa is unbelievably kind and would go out her way to see her guests happy and comfortable...you are one in a million Mama Rosa||i really loved the spacious rooms to the left when you enter the premises with its own pool.||The breakfast was one of my favorite,...clean and well prepared.||And of cause,... Secured parking ||I will definitely encourage people to visit JR...

I found this guesthouse a couple of years back, and since then have literally sent hundreds of people here. Rosa is a brilliant host, in fact she is like my second mom and nothing is too much trouble for her, she goes out of her way to assist everyone. The guesthouse does not have a sea view but the hospitality and luxurious rooms make up for this. Its not far from the airport and can be used as a base to explore Durban and Umhlanga and further north. Dinners are prepared by a great chef and the food is delicious. The pool is always a good spot to meet the guests. Its a great spot for the businessman wanting professional service. Thumbs up for a...
