La Casa Nostra Rose Garden — Hotel in KwaZulu-Natal

My husband and I booked an overnight stay for our 10th anniversary.

We based our stay on reviews and recommendation by Fleur de Lis Spar Hillcrest.

We called the host at the gate, confirmed we are coming from the spar and before he could confirm he is opening the gate, cut the call.

No hello, no welcome from host. The only conversation was directed to an employee to show us the room.

The B&B employee was rushing to go home and quickly showed us the room and took our breakfast order.

I communicated that we do not eat beef or pork as no dietary requirement were asked of us. The employee then said they have chicken sausages they can provided and asked us what time breakfast should be brought down. We agreed at 08:00. The breakfast order was taken at 2pm that day.

The room is nice, with all kitchen equipment available.

The next morning the employee comes to the room to tell us that breakfast is ready upstairs, this was not communicated and we were not ready to leave the room. We reminded the employee she said breakfast would be brought down and she then assisted with arranging this.

She informed us that they were low on chicken sausages so only 2 eggs and less than a handful of mushroom was provided (we did not eat the breakfast). From 2pm the day before to 8am the next day no provisions or attempts were made to accommodate non beef and pork clients.

There was no one to ask how the stay was, no one to say goodbye or even crack a smile when we left.

We will never visit this establishment again solely based on poor...

So this was the 1st time I visited one of the most beautiful and lush areas in KZN and my stay here just made my weekend so much better

The rooms are beautifully done and provide literally everything you need, From hosting some friends and family on your own personal braai area, a fully functional expresso machine, microwave stove and bar fridge and a TV Pre-loaded with Showmax, DSTV Now, Prime Video and Netflix.

The bathroom houses a large shower fully stocked with all the essentials one would need from a assortment of towels, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, sanitary pads, sanitizers, lotion, shower gel and shampoo

The only drawback was the wi-fi speed and signal being very weak and slow and there was barley enough cupboard space to store our clothes but that was a very minor inconvenience compared to the excellent room along with room...

If I could give this place a minus I would. Smells like a cow farm. Also they allow outside guests to use your room while you are not there…. He lives on the property. I popped in to fetch something from my room and it was open and there was a naked grown man using my shower. This is honestly disgusting service. The room stinks like urine and mould. The place is so rundown I don’t even know how you consider yourself a bed-and-breakfast. To be completely honestly don’t stay here guys rather go somewhere else it’s...
