Don't expect special treatment from the staff, because you'll be disappointed. They couldn't care less about you once you checked in. We were there for 4 days and I hated it and never once saw a staff member until I brought my maintenance issues to light. If you have any complaints like a broken door handle, a leaking fridge etc, make sure you keep it short and sweet, because the staff will make you feel like you've just burdened them. Make sure you buy your own toilet paper and other essentials, because the closest shopping centre is far away, named Galleries Mall, although you could settle for a below-average grocer store 1 km away which is closer. The Housekeeping changed our towels only once after I had to ask for fresh ones and the cleaner had no customer relations skills that was notable. Also, very importantly, please take note of the bizarre rules (like: 'Please don't turn off your TV') which they will threaten you with (a steep fine if you accidentally had to switch it off) No one cared to consider the constant flickering of the screen if you were trying to sleep. I eventually covered it with a black T-shirt. Outrageous! Please note that there is another holiday apartment building in the same street with a similar name 'Cabanas', so choose wisely. Entrance is very steep downwards and exit very very steep upwards, so grandma or people with disabilities will have great difficulty in and out. Lastly, avoid Room 60 on the ground floor, because there is a privacy issue here, seriously. The shower's window was viewable from the public corridor - I kid you not, check out the attached picture. I had to close it with a towel every time we took a shower. Conclusion: Great potential, great views and walking distance from the beach! But the staff and the building needs some maintenance done before too many people have a bad experience. That's it, then I would like to...

I was very excited to stay here for 10 days. My excitement died the moment I stepped into my room. 1st thing: I paid for a Type C cabana which is their most expensive type of cabana. I didn’t even have an ocean view, I guess I just thought that the most expensive rooms have an ocean view. The building is 6 floors high and the trees are so high that you’ll only have a ocean view if you stay higher than floor 3. 2nd thing: there is no air conditioning and only the living room has a ceiling fan. 3rd thing: there is wifi but it’s only for office use. 4th thing: only half of the ground floor cabanas have direct access to the pool, the other half walk out to the parking lot. • They only give you 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom for your entire stay. • They give you dishwashing liquid but they don’t give you a sponge to wash with, and you’ll have to wash your own dishes since the cleaning staff “don’t wash dishes”. • The TV is small, has bad picture quality for some channels and only provides 7 channels 📺 •The stains on the floor from food that fell were still there and the small dustbins in the rooms were not cleaned out even after the cleaners had come to clean 🧼 •There is an elevator 🛗 • There are laundry facilities 🧺 • The reception desk sells ice, jaffels & milkshakes🥤🧊 • There are braai areas🥩 • There is a pool 🏊 • It is a very short walk to the beach 🏖 • Walking distance to a bunch of restaurants • 7 min drive to...

Unhappy experience We stayed at Toti Cabanas room 53 for 9 days over new year and what a disaster. Our room was never cleaned properly and had to ask for new towels and linnen after the fith day. Then still the linnen was not changed after i requested. The bathrooms and walls are packed on with filth. The cleaning equipment used are used for other flats in the same level. This also means the cleaning rag (sponge) used to clean our toilet was again used to clean the other flats toilets. This is not hygienic . There was plenty of cockroaches all over. (Photos taken). I mentioned to management and was called back and all that was said was they make use of pest control and aplopogise. They also advertise by the pool snacks by there canteen and when asked they said the lady is on leave. How do you send someone on leave on December school holidays when the flats are full. There is a fan in the room with no two point plug. I payed allot of money to take my family away and you expect good service and we never received this. P.s We had good weather and friendly...

Stayed here for six nights in a bachelors. Very nice place to unwind and relax. Fully equipped Cabanas with a TV, fridge /freezer, microwave, stove, iron, ironing board, kettle and toaster. All you need to bring is beach towels, toiletries, food and if needed a 2point plug and bring toiletpaper. Rooms are serviced daily if you want. Very friendly staff and ladies at reception very helpful. There is a swimming pool and braai area. Every cabana has a balcony, which should have a seaview if you have one of the Cabanas higher up. You can hear the sea in your cabana. There is shaded parking for your car. Toti Cabanas has a direct entrance to the beach, which makes it so much easier to just walk to the beach - no excuses. Within walking distance to Thirsty Whale, Spur and Valentino. There is also a big mall (Galleria Mall) nearby. Toti Cabanas is definitely worth a visit. Thank you for making our stay a very pleasant one.
