Our stay at House on the Beach was nothing short of magical! The property lives up to its name, as it is just a few meters from the beach, offering breathtaking views that are the highlight of the experience. The pristine beach, with its soft sand and clear waters, feels like a private slice of paradise—ideal for long walks, sunbathing, or simply soaking in the tranquility.
Safety is clearly a priority here, with all measures in place to ensure guests feel secure and well taken care of. The rooms are comfortable, with high-quality bedding that guarantees a good night’s rest. The top-floor room offer stunning sea views—waking up to the sound and sight of the ocean was pure bliss!
The amenities provided made our stay incredibly convenient, from TV entertainment and fast fibre internet to a well-equipped entertainment area a sparkling pool and regular cleaning services on request. It was a delight to have everything we needed at our fingertips. Additionally, the property is pet-friendly, which was a huge bonus for our family.
The location is another strong point. While the house provides peace and tranquility for those seeking a retreat close to nature, it is also conveniently near other commercial beaches for those looking to explore.

We booked Widdy’s and Highrocks to accommodate 25 people for a weekend 40th birthday celebration, and it was absolutely amazing! The photos TRULY don’t do the place justice — it’s even more stunning in person and made the perfect setting for our informal party of 50 (complete with games).
Our guests were so impressed with the venue and couldn’t believe we found such a hidden gem so close to Durban. Many managed to slip away to the beach during the weekend, which made the stay even more special.
