I didn't expect the lodge to be in the city so it was a shock for me. The palm trees on one of the pictures on the booking site deceived me completely and I thought the place was way out of the city. However, the advantage was that we could either walk or drive to the nearby Lephalale Crossing or drive to the bigger Lephalale Mall for anything. The lodge's restaurant was closed to all other meals and drinks except for a full buffet breakfast. It's undergoing renovations and from the looks of it, it's going to be more spacious and alluring. Anyway, the lodge is charming, with nicely maintained gardens, 2 swimming pools, a kiddies play area and little tables next to most of the rooms. I liked our room mostly because of the safe,a sliding door that leads to the pool and the clean private bathroom. Guests have an electric jug,coffee/ tea things, a little microwave and a television with access to some channels. Rooms are cleaned daily and always have some nice flowery secent lingering in the air. Under cover secure parking is available for all guests. Guests can enjoy a picnic or a self drive game viewing as a day guest in nearby D'Nyala Nature Reserve or spend a day at the not so far Mokolo dam through this scenic road with some seriously beautiful waterfalls right by the road side. Thank you to the wonderful staff and owner that made our stay memorable.By the way, Eco Lodge makes the best stop over to or from Botswana. Sadly I can't provide the best pics as they were on a phone that got stolen at...
Read moreWe spent one night at Cosy Lodge, visiting our son who is working on the Medupi Power Station. Check was quick and easy, and we were allowed to check in well before 14H00. ||The room, while small was more than adequate for one night. There is a decent selection on the TV, and WiFi is available. However, there are long stay guests, and it seems cosy enough. The bar area and lounge under the lapa is also very cosy. The bathroom is small, with only a shower, and no bath. But the shower cubicle is big enough, with the shower head set high enough even for extremely tall people.||||Breakfast is adequate, with bacon eggs, sausages and a couple of other hot dishes, plus cereal.||We spent some with some of the long stay guests, and had a braai (BBQ) with them and the food was decent. The bar prices are reasonable.||||All in all it was a comfortable stay. Would recommend Cosy Lodge and would stay there again should I visit...
Read moreThe accommodation was well situated to our needs and the town, well priced as well. The rooms however had some challenges to note, particularly the family room, it is situated right in front of the restaurant and the music is very loud, so not ideal if you need an early night, the music only died down close to 10pm. We also had a situation with one of the beds, the pocket coils could be felt, it was basically unusable, you could feel the metal, and unfortunately there was nothing we could do but let our kids share one of the other beds. The food was decent, and well priced, breakfast was included in our room rate. All in all, decent place...
