Where do I begin? This past December was our second time visiting this gem of a place. It has now become our new favorite get-away/holiday destination. Derrick and his staff goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is unforgettable. They are so accommodating and friendly. We had an absolute blast with both visits, we have already booked our next visit for end January '24. I highly recommend to visit this lodge it offers everything you are looking for to have a relaxed holiday break. The tents/caravans, ablution block and the entire resort is neat and tidy (fully equipped with everything you may need) also the gardens beautifully landscaped and the views magnificent. The manager treated us so poorly. Check out is at 10am, their staff came at 10 to count cutlery and whatnot, we were out of the room waiting for the check out confirmation. We paid a R300 refundable deposit. We proceeded to book additional accommodation for following weekend to the value of R5000, when we drove out we saw the owner had stolen R200 from our refundable deposit, he had taken an addition R200 as a late checkout fee. When we went back to talk to him about it he threw our money back at us and canceled our booking for next weekend. People help me show managers like this that treating guests in this manner should not...

Absolutely the worst OWNER - when we complained he just said he will give us back our money. the next morning he sent me a whatsapp promising to see us at reception to discuss - a no show - he took out our R300 refundable deposit out of our envelope and the receptionist had to get money somewhere else to give our money back. UP TO TODAY HE HAS NOT MADE AN EFFORT to see us face to face.
