My husband and I stayed in the Romantic log cabin this past weekend, and we loved every moment. The setting is the best in the Mount Amanzi resort! The log cabin lends a feel of being in a secluded tree house as the deck is surrounded by trees on the bank of the pond. The privacy and tranquillity provided by the trees enables one to watch the mountains, people and cars, whilst being wrapped in your own little cocoon, safe from preying eyes. The inside of the cabin is well designed, with two separate bathrooms, one of which has a claw foot bath and a walk-in closet. What really made it romantic and special was the personal touches like a bottle of bubbly, rose petal covered candles and the daily messages from On Golden Pond staff. The kitchen upstairs is a little cramped, but with the restaurant and other Mount Amanzi facilities at our disposal, we never used it. The log cabin was serviced daily by an excellent staff member called Selena. Her and Thea were available through out our stay and they ensured we had a spectacular time. Nothing beats a rustic log cabin in the mountains...

Just a WARNING to all.
My husband and I booked at On Golden Pond from Friday 26- 29 November 2021. Lots of monkeys You cannot open any windows or doors during your stay. Have to use the aircon and fans all the time.
The cottage we stayed at most of the windows didn't close fully hence big spiders and insects enter the cottage.
I had to spray doom and peaceful sleep spray thrice a day and still spiders entered the cottage and my husband was bitten by one. He is allergic to spider bites.
We had to check out early as my husband needed medical attention. We booked out on Sunday morning, 8am not Monday morning at 10am as per my accommodation.
Thea at On golden Pind refused to reimburse me my money as my husband got bitten by a spider due to negligence of management at On Golden Pond as maintenance of the cottages are not done.
Very disappointed and dissatisfied. Will definitely not recommend this place to anyone else.
Book other self catering accommodation on Mount Amanzi but please don't book any On Golden Pond.

Due to the cold weather, we could only use the hot water pool which was not very hot, full of chlorine and not much space for swimming.
There were alot activities at the resort which was lots of fun, but going from one to the next was exhausting and there was hardly time for making food, eating and actually resting.
The putt putt course was neat and nicely maintained but could be a little bigger.
The kids loved the jumping pillow the most. The slide in the jungle gym area could do with some fixing.
We found the reception and housekeeping staff unfriendly but the team in charge of the activities was very kind, helpful and friendly.
The infestation of monkeys was frightening. We couldnt leave our chalet without being attacked. My little girl had nightmares after they stole her biscuits right out of her hand.
We lots a pair of kids pink crocs and my hubbys sun glasses which were never found.
Not sure of we will go back. Definitely...
