Mmabatho palms used to be the best ,I don't know what happened but the standard has dropped drastically .
I checked in Friday ,the room was dirty ,I mean very very dirty ,the curtains had lipstick ,the sheet were not smelling nice and they appeared unclean, and I thought they will try to clean it Saturday ,guess what ,it's like the just made the bed and left ,with the same sheets from Friday ..ewwww.
we had problems with the plugs,we could not get hold of maintainance and we called reception, they sent someone who was apparently from maintainance and promised to come back to assist ,guess what ,the guy vanished .. .That was the worst stay ever.
We had to organise two in one plugs for ourselves which was the problem, because when you go outside and come back the lady security guard will search you as if you are smuggling drugs ,we didn't even feel welcome at all ,we felt like thives and drug smugglers..
They do not have room service anymore ,wow ,Mmabatho plans has fallen. The reason we book hotels is to relax not to be running around .
it will take years for it to recover, and definitely new management .
Let me not mention those people with blue t-shirts written zero tolerance ,they are working with feelings ,they are not professional at all, people bought food from outside, When we asked if we could do the same they said No,and when we asked about the people who were eating Romans pizza by the pool side ,zero tolerance guy pretended as If he doesn't see them ..I don't want to comment on the attitude because wow.
Mmabatho palms NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT ,or else it we loose customers actually it just lost me and my family ,and friends ๐.
And I strongly suggest that no one visit there until they get their story right..
let me not talk about food prices ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃaffordable yes,but the quality ain't it and I am not happy about the portions ..how in the world do you pay R220 for that breakfast ,I am ain't a chef but I make breakfast better than that at home ...the chefs aren't bad ,but the waitress ,woah ..they need to be reshuffled or appropriately trained .
Guy's if you need to stay somewhere ,I've never been to protea, royal aloe and others ,but I am sure they offer better services than that from Palms .
It's not a four star ,at this point it doesn't deserve even one star.
Ow I forgot to mention ,I booked family room ,guess what ..they gave us 300mls bottle of water..like who doesn't know that a person has to drink 2 litres of water a day ..it won't kill to put five litres of water in family rooms or we should drink from the bathroom?.
And the TV ,I am not happy about the quality.
And we paid full price for the kids and they don't want them to dish for themselves ,and they don't even offer a tray so we can dish for them ,how am I going to carry four plates ...so I should go up and down as if I didn't pay ...noooo,this is very wrong .
I forgot to mention discrimination ,other people were left to leave with food to their rooms and were not searched when entering the premises .๐๐๐๐on the other hand we were treated as if we are prisoners.
New management alert...
Otherwise ,they are really following covid regulations ,I am happy about that.
Otherwise I have hope ..if things can be like before ,I will...
ย ย ย Read moreIt is bad! Today is Monday the 28th December. We arrived on Friday the 25th December. We still have the same bedding. The bedding has never been changed hmsince we arrived here. They have stopped using coffee mugs and glasses in the rooms but they are using disposables and they put everything in a plastic. Why don't they put the proper glasses and mugs and put them in a plastic? They have stopped supplying fresh milk because of COVID 19. Every ineffeciency is blamed on COVID 19 but they are actually doing the opposite that will end up infecting people. The bathroom basin waste stopper could not open, the main light was not working. They ALWAYS put 1 tea bag 2 sugar sachets in a family room. So if 1 person drinks tea once it's finished. I don't think that room was ever cleaned for the 4 nights we were there. There were problems in the kitchen as the person who was supposed to dish breakfast was there and it was cramped.. Defeating the Covid prevention purpose. The Manager (Peacemaker) did make amends for other things that we were complaining about. Lerato at Reception was also helpful but most of the things were impossible for her to amend, so the problems were there to stay as she will give instruction but no one helped. It is just a lot... But the high prices charged are not going down and instead going up while the service is...
ย ย ย Read moreThe restaurant staff is constantly in clusters talking about dissatisfaction over failure of the company to pay their UIF claims. An unhappy staff will not be productive. It concerns us as guests to hear terrible retrenchment strategies employed by Palm Management. I like the place, but maybe Peermont should intervene and do what is right to its employees by paying out money that government paid to Palms and address employees on the lay-off/retrenchment strategy. Better still they have to explain to the public why they withdrew employees' claims that they submitted to labour. You lay people off and then change their pay without any negotiation? ||It is funny that Management does not address staff but leaves it up the the incapable hands of the so-called 'Couch' who is a Union misrepresenter and not an employer rep. How do you pack-up employees into one staff transport as if they are sardines? In a Corona situation, seriously!? Should you compromise people's lives for profit?||||CAN PEERMONT PLEASE INTERVENE. WE WANT WANT OUR OLD...
