Lali's Guest House — Hotel in Maluti-a-Phofung Local Municipality

Booked this establishment for a stop over on our way to Phuthaditjhaba. It was the only one available for our travel dates and I didn't think much of it but booked it anyway, however, on our arrival there, my perception changed. firstly, it was conveniently and centrally located to amenities and the freeway. secondly,Shirley our hostess friendly and helpful. what I really appreciated was the thoughtfulness and kind gesture of warming up our charming apartment as we arrived in the evening and it was a very cold winter's night! The apartment was very modern and beautifully decorated with a cosy kitchenette, the beds were very comfortable and had electric blankets under the sheets which was just asking to be switched on and warming up while we chatted into the night. The next morning, breakfast was ready for us at the time we had asked for it to be served and it was good. The only thing I didn't like was the shower head that spurted water in all directions, it's time for a new one! Over and above, it was a lovely, value for money...

Overall from the outside the guesthouse looks good. Was not impress with the guesthouse owner putting my credit card thru before I arrived. Not happy with that as I had to give my info to Booking.com to confirm my room. As a pay cash for my accommodation on arrival. Room was big but wooden floor makes a lot of noise when you walk over it. With no air conditioner or fan in the room it makes it very difficult to sleep as the room was very hot. ||||Bathroom has lots of spider webs in it and dust on the walls.. I'm so the staff can get more training in cleaning. Guesthouse has a big garden but no undercover parking for the cars. Cars park in the open on the grass. The room has a window above the door, and has the light from the passage shining into your room.||||Breakfast was average. Not all serve was fresh....

Guesthouse was very friendly and prompt with replies, we cannot fault them on that. || We booked for business travel and no meals where booked. Unfortunately all three gentleman that stayed there, in three seperate rooms had tick/flea bites (bed bugs) all over their bodies. As I made the booking, I reported it to the guesthouse but they did not even respond. If it was my establishment I would be a tad humiliated and would definitely reply to apologise and...
