A spectacular experience in an unforgettable location!||When searching for an authentic coastal vibe as a holiday destination my wife & I kept coming back to the wild coast in South Africa, with its rugged, undeveloped coastline, dense indigenous forests and wild beaches. Kob inn is situated perfectly for the discerning traveler to take full advantage of every experience this incredible place has to offer!||The hotel itself, while boasting an impressive history of its own (We're talking over a 100 years!) serves as the perfect backdrop for your own story! With modern facilities, fully equipped pub & entertainment area there is no better way to relax after a day out exploring either by horseback or canoe. ||We stayed in the beautiful honeymoon suite, which is private & generous with its incredible panoramic views of the ocean & coastline! Nothing comes close to falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. Coming from a relatively urban lifestyle I had completely forgotten the awe-inspiring & mentally healing effect that nature has - all it took was Kob Inn to remind me!||All meals are catered for & taken in either the dining room or if you're lucky enough around a "braai" down at the pub. The meals themselves were something of a surprise, the chef/kitchen staff punch above the three star rating by quite a wide margin! We enjoyed all our meals & I walked away with newfound appreciation for pie (Guinness, you guessed it!) Importantly, my wife & I disclosed ahead of time that we both had gluten & lactose intolerances & the result exceeded our expectations. From custom, gluten free desserts, Pie Pastry that they had especially imported, we left feeling like part of the Kob Inn family. A special note about the pub itself which overlooks the ocean: I can personally tell you that sipping a Guinness while contemplating the vastness of the sea left me feeling like Hemingway himself! Kob Inn Beach Resort – A Place Close to Our Hearts||||Wow—no words can truly capture how wonderful this place is. Yes, the journey from Sasolburg is long and winding, taking us nearly 12 hours, but when you know what’s waiting at the end of the road, every kilometer is worth it.||||From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed with warm smiles—from the friendly hotel dogs to every single staff member. Kob Inn has been a treasured part of our family’s vacations for as long as I can remember. We've celebrated many milestones here: 50th and 60th birthdays (and maybe next year, the 70th—hint hint!). Two of my cousins got married here, and when it was time to plan my own wedding in 2014, I knew it had to be a Kob Inn beach wedding. It was nothing short of magical—everything was perfect.||||We've continued the tradition with our own children, bringing them here as babies and toddlers. One of our most cherished memories is from 2020—two months before COVID took my dad to his Heavenly Home—we spent the most incredible 'last holiday' with him here, not knowing just how precious those days would be.||||Fast forward to 2025: my husband and I, along with our family, decided it was time to return. And what a week it’s been! Familiar faces greeted us like old friends, and even new ones welcomed us as if we never left. “Why did it take you so long to come back?” they asked with genuine warmth.||||Thank you, Kob Inn Beach Resort, for another unforgettable experience. Thank you for the old and new memories, the incredible food (especially for accommodating our kids’ picky eating habits), and yes—we may have gained a kilo or two! Wow! Where does one begin when you want to tell the world, what a wonderful place Kob Inn is.|We have had our annual family vacation at Kob Inn for more than 10years in a row and we consider the Owners and Staff to be part of our extended family.|The hotel is a family beach resort and caters for persons of all ages and is accessible to people with disabilities.|The staff are super competent, friendly and most of all, trustworthy. |Rooms are spacious, clean and comfy. You have tree meals a day and the food is of outstanding quality and visually appealing. |There is enough activities to keep young and old busy, like quad bike riding, horse riding, tennis, snorkeling, walking in nature and overall just being on a holiday where you and your family and friends are safe and feel safe at all times. There is a little tuck shop where you can get all sorts of goodies at reasonable prices.|Kob Inn is the place to go if you need to get away from the hustle and bussle of city life.|Violet, Daan, Ciske and Tinus and all staff.
