Greenway Woods — Hotel in Mbombela

I stayed at Greenway Woods in White River for 4 nights, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.

From the moment we arrived, the issues began. One of our rooms had no shower head and no working plug points. The second room was missing two bulbs, including one in the bathroom, and the bathroom door was so poorly designed that it offered no privacy at all — massive gaps on the sides made it easy to see right in.

We had planned to enjoy some of the outdoor facilities, but even that was problematic. The volleyball court was unusable after 9 PM because the guard came and shouted at us, even though there were no posted rules about usage times and the lodge had very few other guests at the time.

The pictures online are incredibly misleading — the rooms were much smaller and far more dated than what was advertised. One night, the electricity ran out completely, and we had to wait for them to send us tokens to refill it — in the middle of the night.

There were very few amenities, especially considering the price we paid. The rooms haven’t been renovated in years, and there was an unpleasant smell as soon as we walked in.

Overall, this place did not meet basic standards of comfort, maintenance, or hospitality, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a quality stay in...

We were yelled at by security for using the volleyball court between 9 and 11 PM, even though there were no signs saying we couldn’t and barely any guests.

The rooms look nothing like the pictures. They're tiny, old, and smelled bad when we walked in. One night the electricity ran out, and they had to send us tokens to recharge it, which was just ridiculous.

We stayed there for the week... Was paid in advance online, so couldn't cancel and go to another place

Accom unit: needs improvements and maintenance, was informed cleaning service will pop by but no one stopped by to even top up the toilet supplies/ change linen but was OK for just sleep over place after each day's touring

The complex is OK, its safe, nice lawn area for kids to play on in front of each unit or have a picnic...

No actual facilities on the premises.

No restaurants or take outs on the premises,you need to drive into the town

There is a dam accross the road but we had no access...
