|We were on a one month trip of RSA, a bit of Zim & Zam. We wanted a Kruger safari & happened upon SafariBookings.com through the internet. We are budget travellers so wanted 3d/2n experience that we could afford. There are safari packages to suit every budget, most way out of our means.|From the start Andre's communication was excellent, always quick to respond. Based on this we made our booking & we're not disappointed.|The pickup was on-time from our hotel near Johannesburg airport, the driver was friendly & we reached Kruger in good time. |Accommodation was simple but spacious. We had a 'glamping' tent which we thoroughly enjoyed. Very clean & comfortable, all the jungle noise outside. |We had an afternoon safari to see the animals & enjoy the sunset. Beautiful & everything we wanted. |Back for dinner which was surprisingly delicious. A small menu where you each have 3 courses, 3 or 4 choices on each. I had the Sirloin for main & it was so excellent that I had it again next night.|The next day up at 5 for the main safari & it was freezing. After 36 degrees the previous evening, the next day was 16 & felt so much colder with the wind blowing across the bush. Luckily they gave us thick ponchos which became essential. We saw a wealth of animals, & Shadrag our driver kept us informed throughout, as well as telling a few jokes along the way. Everything was extremely professional & we have no complaints. |I'd highly recommend this safari, we had an unforgettable experience at excellent value. ...
Read moreI recently stayed at Kruger Adventure Lodge (January 22-24, 2020).
The grounds - the lodge is set in a beautiful spot, with plenty of natural settings. There's also a pool to enjoy in the nice hot weather.
The rooms - my room was great; all the rooms and tents are pretty close to the reception and restaurant area which is great. The room was clean and comfortable!
The food - breakfast and dinner was included with the package I had gotten. The food was great, with different options to choose from.
The service - everyone that works there is incredibly friendly and intentive on making your stay the best. They were all amazing!
The safaris - I went on a sunset safari, as well as an all day safari. Our guide for the sunset safari was City; he was great and had a lot of knowledge about the animals and trees and plants in the area. We saw a lot of different animals on this drive, including three of the big five (leopard, elephant, and buffalo). The next day we went on an all day drive with our guide, Michael. Michael was amazing! He spoke to many of the other guides in the area trying to spot some lions, and all the work paid off! We managed to see three lions sleeping at the side of the road. By the end of the day, we had seen all of the Big Five, along with Sable antelope, wild dogs, and so many more!
I would definitely recommend...
Read moreThe accommodation is good, acceptable. The dinner was very good as was the breakfast, the staff was more or less, there are very friendly people like one of the waitresses but the rest more or less. We had a very bad experience with one of the receptionists, she sold us a night safari in a nature reserve and it was really a drive through a lodge that had some animals but very few, from no point of view it was a safari, the animals They were not wild, they were fed and the ride is just another experience to see the sunset and have something cool, we felt quite cheated, if they offer you the night safari, don't take it. Also we didn't have rands so we paid in dollars and they were going to give us the change in rands the next day. When we went to get the change, the same girl at the reception told us that in the end she didn't owe us money because when changing the dollars they charged her a commission and so on. In the end we insisted and they gave us the change but at first it seemed like a total lack of Respect since they charge us so much money and the next day it turns out it was more. On the other hand, they did not accept 100 dollars because they said they were old but they are valid dollars, there is no dollar that...
