Our Stay at Ndhlula Luxury Tented Lodge – A Heartfelt Thank You We spent three days at Ndhlula Luxury Tented Lodge, and it was so much more than just a getaway — it felt like a home away from home, thanks to the people who made it so special. The setting itself was peaceful and beautiful, with wildlife grazing quietly outside our tent in the early mornings — a sight we’ll never forget. The tents were clean, comfortable, and allowed us to be close to nature without giving up any comfort. But the real highlight of our stay wasn’t just the lodge or the views — it was the staff. The staff were absolutely phenomenal — incredibly friendly, polite, warm, and genuinely caring. They didn’t just serve us; they welcomed us like family. We felt so seen, so valued, and truly loved — and we loved them right back. Every single person we met left a lasting impression: Promise, behind the bar, was not only an excellent bartender but one of the warmest people we met — always smiling, always up for a chat, and genuinely interested in how our day had been. Neo was incredibly thoughtful and helpful in so many small ways — always checking in, making sure we had what we needed, and quietly making our experience smoother. Sbusiso kept the energy high with his laughter and stories — he was entertaining without ever being over the top, and made everyone around him feel lighter. Hopewell helped us with our bags, drove us around when we needed shuttles, and gave us great advice on local amenities. Nothing was too much trouble, and he always greeted us with kindness. Alice truly oversaw our whole stay and went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. She coordinated everything behind the scenes and checked in often to make sure we were happy. Her presence alone was reassuring. Nathan was not only helpful with advice on local attractions but also gave us thoughtful conversation and insight about the area and the lodge. We really appreciated the time he took to engage with us. Menzi was amazing at stepping in to help with last-minute gifting and took on multiple roles to assist us — always calm, always ready to help, even when things came up unexpectedly. Hlubi and Notando gave us a spa treatment that we weren’t sure could even happen due to the bad weather, but they went out of their way to make it work. They made the space warm and relaxing, and we left feeling refreshed and so grateful. From the moment we arrived, we were completely enchanted by the stunning scenery — vast open landscapes, lush bush surroundings, and skies that painted a masterpiece from sunrise to sunset. The tented accommodation was nothing short of spectacular. Each tent was beautifully designed — blending luxury with nature in the most thoughtful way. We were also celebrating our one-year anniversary, and the team made it incredibly special. They surprised us with a beautifully decorated table at dinner, a personal note, and chocolates — simple touches that meant a lot. One moment that really stood out was on Saturday morning, when we had an early Kruger Park tour and would miss breakfast. Without us even asking, the team packed us a generous breakfast pack filled with snacks — thoughtful, useful, and so appreciated during the long day. And the food overall? Always fresh, always something different, and full of flavour. There was a great variety every day, and every meal felt intentional and prepared with care. From the warm welcomes to the heartfelt goodbyes, this trip was made unforgettable by the people who work at Ndhlula. They didn’t just accommodate us — they cared for us in ways we didn’t expect and won’t forget. We came for a peaceful escape, but we left with beautiful memories and connections that will stay with us. Thank you, Ndhlula team — you truly made it special....
Read moreBEWARE: Predatory pricing and poor experience I was very disappointed by my stay at Ndhula Lodge for many reasons. First, we booked a safari for 2 people which was billed as a private safari. However, on the morning of the tour we were "pleasantly" surprised when there were 2 additional people on our safari that scared away the animals, did not come back at required meeting time and made the experience poor at best. When we settled our bill - the lodge charged us for a private 2 person safari despite this being a four person safari (non-private). When asked to follow up and discuss further there was no follow up and I wonder where the additional money went (made me concerned about the integrity of the lodge). Moreover, the lodge caters only to large groups and neglects couples and smaller parties. They forgot our packed breakfast one morning despite multiple reminders and a planned safari for months ahead. They set smaller parties away in the corner at meals and away from the buffet with customer service neglecting couples. Overall, I was very upset with my experience, and I would NOT recommend staying at this lodge due to predatory pricing, poor customer service, and lack of catering to small groups...
Read moreWe were a group of 8 (ages 28-33) staying at the Ndhula Luxury Tented Lodge for 4 days and 3 nights. The rooms were beautiful and super comfortable with aircon and heated blankets, with clean bathrooms. We completed 2x half day game drives, 1x full day game drive and 1x sundowner (sunset) drive. The drive to Kruger National Park was 45-60 mins and Sandile and Yana were great drivers and looked after us very well. The sundowner driver with Thabiso was the highlight of our stay and would definitely recommend. Chef fed us very well every night with the 3 different types of curry on the first night, BBQ on the 2nd and fish on the 3rd. Nathan and Thabiso were our servers and looked after us with getting drinks at all meals and making sure we were comfortable in the communal areas with moving umbrellas to provide shade. Lastly Kagiso (Caroline) helped us check in, check out and organise any extra activities we wanted during our stay.
We have so much love for the team at Ndhula Luxury Tented Lodge and thank you for such amazing memories for our first time...
