I booked this voucher to spoil my mom with. When she booked, I was very grateful that you guys had accommodated her, as she was unable to go within the stipulated time. So I would like to start off by thanking you for that.

However that seems to have been the only highlight of her spa package. On arrival, the lady at the spa saw my mom drive past, but made no effort to let her know here to come to. For an overnight stay, I understand that the meals included are served at stipulated times, however not even a welcome drink was served and she was charged for a cup of tea which she then requested whilst she waited.

Her massage and exfoliation on the first day were good, and she was only able to check into her room at 14:00. She was only eventually served lunch at 13:00, after having been there from the morning. Guests are apparently asked to pre-order their meals, as the kitchen gets too busy, and this prevents a long wait. Completely understandable, but what it actually resulted in, was a rushed meal service, and hard meat for dinner.

The pathway to her room was unlit, which made walking after dark impossible. The room itself was dark, offered no mosquito repellent in mosquito season, and when my mom asked about this she was offered a tiny candle and some peaceful sleep. She was also told that the cleaners get told time and time again to put the mosquito repellent plugs into the rooms, but don't listen, but still nothing was actually done to fix the problem. The room itself looks as though its falling apart (We got pictures). I'm all for the rustic look, but this is in desperate need of some attention.

The next day brought new challenges. The pre-ordered breakfast arrived, not as ordered. The lady that was responsible for the manicure seemed ill-trained to the point that my mother actually asked for another therapist to do her pedi. Her nails were painted all over her fingers. She had to request several times for tools to be cleaned, for both mani and pedi, and now has an infection in her nail. Once she had her facial, she did not receive the black head removal, but by this point was too afraid to say anything, as she had already come across as being so 'fussy', when really these are standard rules of practice in any self-respecting spa. The skin around the nails on her hands and feet are now also peeling, and her feet already feel rough, in addition to the nail infection, so overall just a really poor job. My Mum has had to now have treatment on her nail and is also on antibiotics due to the fact that all of the implements used were not sterilized!

Considering the price we paid for the package, I would have expected much better service, accommodation, food, and value for money than was received. The reviews on your spa almost seem...

I am not one to write bad reviews but thiw was a horrible experience and for the price one has to pay you would expect MUCH BETTER. Poor Maintenance - the property looks like there has not been life for months. The grass is long, the garden... What garden.. Very poorly managed The only waiter there was for the weekend had no interest in his job and skelm as well.. We ordered 2 waters and a ice tea and he felt the need to add an additonal R12 for him to the bill .... ??? The rooms and bedding were shocking... I felt dirty sleeping there.. You could smell the dust on everything. The service ... Gosh... Shocking. We were told that breakfast would be ready by 8... We got there 20min earlier to have some coffee while we wait... NOTHING was open. Restaurant, reception, EVERYTHING was closed. 8:10, the waiter rocks up like he ia on time .. We eventually asked the garden service if he could find out what was going on. One of the kitchen staff then came out and said.. Oh no sorry there is no buffet you must order... So another 20min to wait.. We ordered. Coffee was not nice, the scones we got was rock hard.. Old.. The food was just not up to standard for what you pay.. The restaurant and other areas were very dirty. You could just smell dust... I would seriously reconsider booking here.. As it was the worst experience i have ever had .... Music was played till late...

The location of the place is within earshot of a waterpark, that means noise and screaming all day till 5 pm. The same weekend I booked, there was also a wedding, meaning loud music all day and night. To top it off, another place had a show near the main road but it was as if someone was drumming just outside our room. Needless to say I got no rest or relaxation and trust me, had I known any of the above I would not have booked this place! I am quite disappointed. Their waiter service was poor and not very friendly. The food was average. Our room was really lovely, but the blinds were so stained and dirty, it was really off putting, as well as the net around the bed for bugs, not sure if it ever gets cleaned but the top of it had ample dead bugs before we even got there, really gross. I do appreciate that they provided things for bugs though, but still. Our spa treatments were pretty average and the pool area looked much better in pictures, but up close it looked as if no one had been there in ages nor had it been cleaned in ages. However, Tina at reception was extremely nice and I did appreciate her and Michelle tending to us, but I'm not sure if just that would bring...
