PATHETIC. We booked accommodation for the 31st of May through Booking.com and booked shuttle services from them for the 1st of June. We confirmed on Booking.com that the shuttle must pick us up at 04:00 am. Multiple times, messages were sent and left unread. Upon a phone call from them after we asked for a shuttle from the Guesthouse, we had to confirm AGAIN that pick-up is for 04:00 and we must be picked up from the Estate and then dropped off at the airport. When we arrived, they told us they arranged it for 05:00 am, again we said we needed the shuttle at 04:00 am (Our shuttle arrived at 04:22). We tried calling reception 4 times to ask them about the shuttle services as the driver did not respond after 7 calls and WhatsApp messages to which we got no response or even a call back the next day to follow up.
As for the room, disgusting. The kettle was dirty, the microwave was dirty, the shower was full of mold, and the worst part was when it was brought to the attention of the owner, he lit a cigarette, took a sip of his drink, and ignored it completely.
As for breakfast, we arranged a Take-Away breakfast as we had to leave early and did not receive it. We ordered salad from the restaurant and had to correct the lady helping us 3 times as she kept adding the wrong meals to our order. On delivery of the food 2 hours later, we got only salad dressing for one salad, no salt, and pepper. The waiter who brought the food was drunk as you could smell the alcohol on his breath and his eyes was red. Do not advertise room service if the food is going to be this bad when delivered.
The electrical blankets they advertised and we received did not even work. This was one of the worst stays ever! I have paid much less for rooms and received 10 times better service from them. Would not recommend booking this...
Read moreI booked Thursday evening in a rush and Jessica assist me over the phone with accommodation for the weekend, I specifically asked I will only book if I can fish, she stated that there was a competition on Saturday and cannot fish Friday or Saturday, but I can start fishing form Saturday 14:00, this was the case and we fished, Wayne even talked to us and Sunday morning his right hand man enquiried why did we not book???? Please explain to me why I, the customer that has spent alot of money thus far and was planning on paying for everything when checking out 11 on Sunday (today) need to put up with this kind of incompetent planning as apparently I did not book and Wanye confused me us for another group, but never bother to asked???
This is by far the worst service and worst handling of a matter/issue to date, you will never see me again, I will gladly support highlander close by or any other place, thank you Wayne for your excellent customer...
Read moreI don’t know where to start , but the experience was a total disappointment. I went on a Saturday the 4th of October 2025 and this for a wine tasting.
On arrival - our waiter was clueless about wines and the history of every glass served to us to taste . After wine tasting - they didn’t have 60% of the food on their menu including their best dishes of grills . They didn’t have dessert sweet wines , they didn’t have ciders . The excuse was we got was “they had a function few days ago and there’s no stock . “ I ordered a Heineken , the beer was hot and the glass was dirty . No manager on site to apologize and do routine check up .
We were planning to book a sleep over but after that treatment, we asked for the bill without ordering food or dessert. We stood up with our empty stomach and drove elsewhere.
A lot to improve in terms of 10 terms of service , cleanliness and honesty.
