Su Casa Guesthouse Scottsville — Hotel in Msunduzi Local Municipality

A peaceful environment- but appalling service & amenities.

I recently visited Pietermaritzburg, on a business trip & was in need of fast, comfortable & efficient accommodation, while working within a budget.

After a quick browse on Google I came across a rare find on the Agoda website. The room was relatively low cost & had the basic amenities of WiFi, television & a decent looking shower.

I arrived at Su Casa at around 16:30pm & was granted entry by a spectacular housekeeper. I was then informed that I had booked the incorrect room, the room which I had booked was a dorm room which would accommodate multiple people. I didn't have an issue & thought it would be a new experience. I was then notified by the helper that I unfortunately could not have the room that I paid for due to a female being in the room already.

I then was not accommodated for by the B&B but rather was forced to folk out more money in order to attain a room. I went ahead due to the fact that the previous funds were not refundable.

I got settled in my room only to discover that the room didn't have a TV remote & that the TV was in an unwatchable position. The bathroom didn't have any shower gels or hair shampoos as the regular B&Bs do.

It seems like the owner is a little more focused on raking in profits than providing the basics to the little rooms they rent out.

My overall stay wasn't a total disaster, I enjoyed the peace & quiet that the premises offered, but would suggest that the owner not be as money hungry as  was portrayed to be, be a little more empathic to situations your business has created for you're guests.

I was at this place a week ago i started at the place allocated at chasevalley found out it fully booked so by that victor manage to tranfer me to another branch which is at scottvile of which they accepted me with smile and even extend the checkout time due to miss communication we had sure case it such a great place to recommend LOOKING FOWARD ...
