The most shocking service I have ever received! My company's travel unit confirmed and booked my room a week ago, we received a booking number and email confirmation. After a long day of travel I arrived at the establishment. 2 very unhelpful staff at reception told me there was no booking under my name and they were fully booked. I accessed my emails to get the confirmation (the cell signal is terrible, and the wifi they eventually provided was even worse) I showed them all the emails with confirmations received from the establishment. I phoned our travel coordinator who confirmed that everything had been sent, but I was met with shrugging shoulders. They tried to phone several people to find out, but there was no answer. Eventually they got through to someone who said the booking had expired, I asked how when it was confirmed and Purchase order and payment sent through a week ago? I was placed on hold- and they just did not get back to me. Having been on the road for over 5 hours, I asked to use the toilets- the toilet I was sent to was dark, and filthy dirty! I got back, and still had no response to the problem- seemingly noone cared! I asked for a number to contact, since it was clear that the reception staff had no idea, and there was noone else around. I was given a landline where there was no answer. I asked them to phone and follow up with the person who they had spoken to before, and when they did answer, they once again placed the call on hold. I waited for an hour and got no assistance. There was no apology, no care for the fact that I was now stranded after 7pm at night with no accommodation! No single offer of trying to assist in any way. Sadly, reading the reviews, it seems like not having a booking at the establishment when it was previously confirmed is a common issue. Read moreI booked the 17th and 18th at the 'hutten heights lodge' June 2022. It was the worst experience at lodge yet. The first night they made noise in the lounge area until 21:30 where one could not get any sleep before then. We found a strangers earring in the made-up bed. This is already winter and no winter bedding are on beds. I booked for 2 people to share there were not even enough towels. The next morning at 7:30 there was no hot water for one person to shower. Had to finish in cold shower (note it's winter). I went to reception to tell staff on duty we are very dissatisfied with service. The person just referred me to 'iLawuHospitalityGroup' on his part he can't do anything sorry.
