Marisch Bed and Breakfast — Hotel in Newcastle Local Municipality

Last minute booking accommodated. Parking is secure, wifi great. The room I stayed in was beautifully decorated. Heating panels on the wall and electric blanket if I recall (I didn't use this). Best part of the stay was the shower. They provide lovely amenities for you to use and the shower head was a large rain shower head with great water pressure. This is the one thing guesthouse owners skimp on but Marisch was spot on! Breakfast was also cooked fresh from order and one of the loveliest breakfasts I had on my Drakensberg travels. I have again stayed at lovely guesthouses but they pre-cook the breakfast so you end up eating cold eggs or rubbery toast even when you have been courteously on time. The owners are stunning people and make you feel like family, and I would highly recommend this...

This is a lovely BnB in a neat part of Newcastle close to restaurants. The room was beautifully decorated and spotless. We had coffee supplies in the room plus a little fridge and microwave. The bed was super comfy and we had a TV with selected DSTV channels. Breakfast had a selection of cold cereals, yogurt, toast, eggs and pork sausages. Portions were large and tasty. We visited Marisch for the second time today and what sold me is the owner, Andries. He is consistently warm and accomodating of every need. The rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable. Breakfasts are legendary. They go out of their way to accomodate various dietary requirements. I really thank God that the manager of "Blessings BnB" sent us here because Marisch is now our BnB of choice...
