It looks better in the photos! You are paying for location close to Kruger Park rather than the accommodation itself which is fine. The staff are friendly, food is okay. We had a half-board option and the dinner was welcome at the end of a long day driving around Kruger but nothing to write home about. Breakfast the next day wasn't great - apparently they didn't have jam for the toast or yoghurt for the "yoghurt & muesli". The room was fine although a lot of sound travels from the adjacent room and as the hotel offers a 4am-start for safaris around Kruger, so there's a good chance you will (as we were) be woken by people getting up and ready. The most noteworthy thing is that the designers of this Lodge put everything on different levels: there are steps up and steps back down everywhere so it really isn't suitable for wheelchairs or even anyone with bad knees/mobility issues. I'd actually say it's wheelchair inaccessible.

Staying at Crocodile Kruger Safari Lodge was truly one of the highlights of our trip to South Africa. ✨ The lodge is excellent — super comfortable and cozy, with every detail carefully thought out to make guests feel at home. The staff went above and beyond in kindness and hospitality. Honestly, they made me feel like part of the family. 💛 Breakfast was delicious, served à la carte instead of buffet, and dinner was a real treat: starter, main course, and dessert, all beautifully prepared and full of flavor. One of the most magical experiences was seeing wild animals wandering through the garden during the day — it was like having a little piece of Kruger National Park right outside the room! 🦓🦌🐒 I can’t recommend Crocodile Kruger Safari Lodge enough. Staying here added something truly special to our Kruger Park adventure. 🌿🐘

BAD experience all around. No words can explain my disappointment. My Boyfriend’s first time in South Africa. Worst experience.

We travelling from Canada (2 days travel), we arrived at the lodge at 10:30pm. At check-in the lodge didn’t have our reservation. Apparently Expedia didn’t filter our reservation to the property. We explained numerous times, showed him our booking confirmation, we paid for a 3 bedroom house. He kept telling us that Expedia didn’t inform them. Eventually I had to tell him that the lodge has to contact Expedia. We paid for a 3 bedroom house. They gave us 3 separate rooms and move us the next day. We were very understanding, mistakes happen. All we wanted was to get our rooms. We were jet legged and had to wake up at 5am for a Kruger national game drive tour.

While they were trying to figure the room situation (over an hour) they offered us drinks at the bar. Okay awesome, after a long day of travel, we needed to relax. At no point did anyone tell us that we have to pay for the drinks. To our knowledge the drinks were complementary because we were sitting there for over an hour waiting for our rooms. We were given a bottle of tequila at the bar while waiting. Nobody was communicating with us. We starting pouring our drinks (not a bartender). “apparently a staff member was keeping tracks of our drinks”. They also wanted to charge us for a bottle of water.

Our rooms were now ready. We confirmed with 2 stuff members - Lungi and Sandile if the drinks were complimentary. Lungi confirmed.

Checkout there’s an outstanding amount for drinks. 1stly how do they charge us for drinks we were pouring. We didn’t see a receipt before we went to our rooms. I spoke to the owner over the phone, Johan who is (sooooo rude) &arguing with me. Constantly Cutting me off while trying to talk and explain my concern.

They told us, if we write a good review they will comp the drinks. Like seriously.......

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at this beautiful lodge. From our arrival to the check in we received an excellent service. |Unfortunately, due to one of our guest being disabled we had to ask for a room with an accessible bathroom which meant that staff had to rearrange all weeks bookings to accommodate us which was done with no issues. The accommodation was prepared within an hour which was really helpful and really made a big difference in our stay. |The food was cooked to order and was always fresh, staff were attentive, friendly, kind and always made sure we had everything we wanted, rooms and all of the surrounding areas (including pool) were cleaned daily. I would advise to have breakfast included with you booking as it was SO FRESH and TASTY, all cooked to order and served with smile :) We also had dinner on the first night of our arrival and it was really lovely. If you like cocktails I would advise their mojito - I have never tasted anything like this in my life. |I would say that the lodge is difficult to access for disabled customers so if you have any mobility issues contact the lodge before you make your booking to avoid any disappointment. |Game drives - don't waste your money on safari if you travel with your own transport. It was a killer 4.30 start and unfortunately we did not enjoy it as much as we did when going in our own car. We also travelled later and saw way more than at 5am. |Otherwise, you will have a wonderful stay in the most...
