Majuli River House — Hotel in Nkomazi

The house was everything I hoped it would be! The home itself has an authentic, cabin type feel and has everything you will need for a comfortable stay.

Easily the biggest selling point is the decking and it without a doubt lived up to its expectations. You can be up there forever, it has amazing views and has the comforts of a living room. Inqgine being on s sofa wrapped up on a duvet looking up at the starry sky, with the sound of the African Bush all around you. The pkatofmr is elevated too, so no need to worry about an animal disturbing you whilst you relax. Although a Bush baby and many birds stopped by on platform, what a treat.

The view & the deck is stunning, but beyond that it was very disappointing. The house & rooms are teeny tiny especially upstairs. The photos are quite deceptive in that regard. The wooden floors make it extremely noisy. You can hear every conversation & sound in the whole house. The bedding & linen are of poor quality. To make things worse, we were only told upon arrival that there is a building site next door with a generator running ALL DAY. Not a 4 star lodge/hotel by any stretch of the imagination. A Great place to stay. Even when a few things went wrong the management made sure our stay was as hassle free as possible. There was load shedding that caused some damage to the network the management offer us alternative facilities to have coffee and a warm shower as it was our last morning before heading back luckily the power was restored and wasn't needed but they could just have said sorry but they didn't.
