We recently stayed 3 nights at Hamilton's Lodge and Restaurant and found the overall experience excellent. We were welcomed on arrival by the friendly staff and were made to feel welcome the duration of our stay. || The rooms were very clean, comfortable, well appointed and extremely spacious. || The location of the lodge is perfect if you want to venture into kruger via malalane gate only a couple of minutes away. If safariing like we were, the lodge provided breakfast boxes which were a terrific idea. ||The lodge also has a very nice restaurant attached which we utilised each night of our stay. This was extremely handy after a full day of game drives. || The food was of excellent quality. All made fresh and very tasty. Standouts were their home made pasta, the lamb shank and lemon pie. They also offered takeaway too and they must make a good pizza as we noticed there was an order for 8 for one party. They have indoor and outdoor dining with a lovely big fireplace on show in the indoor dining room. It was a great place to relax with a cocktail or wine after a day of safariing. ||Hamiltons Lodge was an excellent choice for our 3 nights whilst we explored the southern part of Kruger National Park. We would definitely stay here again and found it to be exceptional value for money. ||Thank you to all who made our stay...

The focaccia I had (which was supposed to be garlic), had practically NO garlic on it. It was thin as paper and overbaked to the point where I could literally not chew it. (By the way - do you ever get to the restaurant anymore?). Get your act together or close the restaurant. Restaurants are supposed to be about a certain experience - and food is only one part of it! Either you've lost interest or are more interested in making money than providing a memorable...
Read moreUpdate 2023: Superb food and service-we have gone annually for a few years and the quality, standard and excellence remains. Would recommend this to anyone who likes to relax and have a wonderful meal. This time had the mussel starter(French style broth-out of this world). Fillet and salmon mains were again cooked to perfection! Dessert was sublime.
The carpaccio was awesome, nice twist with melon. Salmon main was wonderful and steak main was cooked to perfection. Desserts were tasty. Veg was a bit repetitive but overall service was great. Sean and Bongi were superb-will recommend. Only lost a point because of lack of cocktails and some drinks. They made a special effort for my wife birthday which was a...
