What a beautiful location! Right next to the Crocodile River and opposite the Kruger Park. (5 minutes from the Malelane gate) Our views were amazing! We saw plenty of wildlife from the deck including crocodiles, Waterbuck, elephant, bushbuck, fish eagles, impala, hippos and plenty of birds. The house was comfortable with all the amenities you need to self-cater. The owner, Cornelia, was amazing. She shares her passion of the bush with guests and takes care of her beautiful place. The only negative for me was the barking dogs. You need to love dogs to stay here since they visit you most of the time. Still, a special place.

It's difficult to think of a better place to stay when visiting the south side of Kruger National Park. The house is nicely appointed with all the usual mod cons (washing machine, dishwasher etc). The bedrooms are large and comfy. The patio area come with braai and the most fantastic view over the crocodile river and the vibrant animals and birds of the national park. We had daily / nightly visits by elephants and hippos and regular sightings of Crocs, bok's and warthogs along with dozens of bird species. Amazing place.

Hennies is truly a special place. An unbelievable 180 degree view of the Crocodile river. We had elephants eating off the tree whose shade we were enjoying. A small pool, awesome deck areas offering exceptional views up and down the river. Every amenity you could hope for giving Hennie's Rest 5 stars 🌟. When we didn't venture into the Kruger the one day, we saw a multitude of creatures from our viewing decks. We will definitely be going back! No doubt about it.

My sister and I stayed in Sophie's apartment overlooking the Crocodile River. Very comfortable with all your basic needs for self catering. Ideal for a couple. The view is breathtaking. We had numerous game sightings, such as elephant, waterbuck, hippo, impala, kudu, warthog...the list continues. The bird life is also prolific..good idea to have a bird app or book with. There is a lovely braai on the edge of the garden and one evening we cooked with a male waterbuck peacefully resting right next to us. Sunsets and sunrises are awesome. The host is fabulous and goes out of her way to make your stay comfortable. Some guests can be noisy but a kind word and everthing returns back to the peace and quiet of the bush....

We had a wonderful family stay at Hennie's in March. My older folks downstairs in apartment Sophie and us 5 upstairs in Hennie's. What a stunning location, the website does not do it justice. Lovely to have the entire place to ourselves. Magical, right on the river. Incredible views from the beautiful deck, there was really no need to leave. Beautiful views from both braai options. Quite a few steps from Hennie's down to the pool area so just be cautious with very young children. Also steps up and down from apartment Sophie to the pool area. If you are able, no problem but just something to keep in mind with older folk who may not be as mobile. Cornelia such a lovely host! Would love to...
