We camped in our caravan for 3 weeks. What a magnificent, well managed family-owned park steeped in history and good old fashioned traditional hospitality and service! This is a rare gem and one of the best managed parks we have every visited. The owners are hands on and caring and it was such a pleasure interacting with them and their incredible team. It is well worth visiting and trying out their range of accommodation options, not only camping. Old family run resorts are scarce these days and, sadly, so too is the loss of traditional values and personalised guest service. Mountain Splendour Eco-Resort gets it and is a great place to camp while still working remotely. The owners understand the important links between people, product and service in growing a successful business while expanding an increasingly loyal customer base. They are moving with the times and have great ideas to support remote work while staying with them...smart! Daily interactions with guests while showing genuine interest in each guest's story...personally baking each day's tea (thanks Sue for your daily baked treats)...hands-on management...happy, friendly staff...exceptionally well-maintained property and facilities...improvements and innovations. Personal and proactive ownership of their business! For a range of self-catering options as well as fantastic camp sites and facilities, Mountain Splendour is well worth adding...
Read moreMountain Splendour is a gem we discovered way too late!! The Eco Resort is extremely well run by a team of friendly owners and amazing staff. As we arrived the heavens opened up and we were offered assistance to set up quicker. The ablutions are way more then average which are kept spotless throughout the day. Facilities like the Barn , Pool, tennis court etc are well enjoyed by all. Logcabins and glamping tents looked really lovely. The camp sites are well shaded by an abundance of mature trees. The minimum these sites offer are a plugpoint, watertap and a raised gravel site. Others offer private ablutions and so much more. On the 1 side there are horses grazing peacefully and amaing vistas all round . They have a technical track for the MTB riders and access to amazing MTB/ Trailrunners trails from their farm . Chickens run around happily and there are the cutest and cheekiest goats and piggies. If you are into hiking you are obviously spoilt for choice too in close proximity. We only tried the Monks Cowl venue which was amazing . Lots of things on offer in the Valley to please all. Go check it out ! Guaranteed satisfaction. Thank you to Iain for the pruning service on a Sunday evening and for your staff to help us clean our gazebo which was well enjoyed by a nesting family of Hadedas. We will happily...
Read moreMountain Splendour Eco-Resort is a wonderful resort to visit. The resort comes with tons of entertainment as well as a clean facility itself. The camping sites are clean and good enough to set up your tent, which the resort provides tents and setting up for you too. The bathrooms and kitchen area is clean and neat. The laundry room is decently clean and easy to understand when asking at reception. Reception itself is great, there is also candy, hiking gear, cycling gear and more sold at reception, the receptionists are accommodating. They provide entertainment such as a beautiful swimming area, a game room, that comes with table tennis, pool, a kiddies playroom as well as an entertainment room for adults. They provide jungle gyms, tennis courts and cute animals living on the property. They do also have security around the premises in the evening, which my family and I were rather grateful for as we had experienced some dangerous resorts before. I’m sure I’ve left out some details of the resort itself but this is a resort I would highly recommend to families, individuals, retirees and...
