The exterior photos do not do the interior justice at all. This is a luxurious B&B that is well-appointed and has stunning sea views. We stayed in April 2019 in an upstairs King Suite and really enjoyed the 180-degree sea views, especially in the mornings. The room has a wonderfully comfortable bed, well-equipped bathroom, fridge, DStv and most small things you will need in a B&B. Our hosts, Monica and Marna, were very friendly and looked after us exceptionally well. Delicious morning breakfasts on the balcony were a highlight, the ladies' home-made 'fruit salad' starter was a hit! (Very) slight downsides : the reflection of the sun off the sea can be a bit hectic in the afternoons, and summer would be hot as there is no aircon in the King Suite. The room is geared mostly for eating out or take-out food and is not ideal for self-catering. Privacy on the top floor is not perfect as the balcony is shared with other top-floor guests; although I gather this aspect might be addressed through some renovations soon. Other than that - a wonderful place to spend a few days and use as a base for exploring the many things the area has to offer. One can easily spend a whole day at the nearby Walker Bay reserve or indulging in wine and food in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley just...

TITLE: Views to die for, good food, experiences abound, friendliest/accommodating host, everlasting memories.

•Summary: You will not be able to top the views, the food, the fireplace, the service and more! When we booked in, we were told that the owner and host upgraded us to a larger room, with even a better view over the sea. The whales were around every day. We were treated with a scrumptious breakfast every morning (you choose from various options on the menu the day before). The yogurt and fruit were very tasteful and fruit very fresh. Now we already miss the excellent breakfasts, with whales swimming close to us in the ocean – you will not even get this in the whale mecca of Hermanus! The guest house consists of various rooms, with parking behind building for 3 vehicles, but there is safe parking in front of the guest house. Monica even lit the fireplace for us every evening and we enjoyed our dinner in front of a warm fire place – you cannot ask for more. The rooms were tidy, linen clean, bed firm enough for a good night’s sleep.

• Plus: Excellent owner and host! Clean and tidy rooms. Good fresh food, lovely fireplace and more • Minus: Wish we had time to have...

Overall a very nice guesthouse, that is beautifully decorated, comfortable and a nice spot to go and enjoy an incredible sea view. The staff are friendly, and helpful. The breakfast served at the guesthouse it's good, and has many options to choose from. The self catering unit has everything you need even a dishwasher and a washing machine. The view from the unit we stayed in (self catering unit) was gorgeous and uninterrupted. The guesthouse has off road and secure parking. One big thing I appreciate it is this guesthouse it's one of the few in this area that still allow you to do one night stay. This is appreciated as we live in Cape Town and enjoy exploring on the weekends.
