Ivory Lodge — Hotel in Polokwane Local Municipality

“My experience at Ivory Lodge Hotel was terrible and I would never recommend it to anyone. The hotel is poorly maintained and does not offer any comfort or value for money. The towels provided were ripped and torn beyond use — absolutely unacceptable. The pillows were dirty, untidy, and smelled bad, making it hard to sleep. The room in general felt unhygienic and poorly cared for. On top of that, the daytime receptionist is extremely rude, unwelcoming, and bitter, which made the whole stay even worse. There is no security at all — the gate is wide open at all times, and basic things like tissue paper are not provided unless you ask. When I booked through Booking.com for a better price, the staff reacted very unprofessionally and told us we couldn’t stay because of it. This was the most uncomfortable and unpleasant hotel experience...

We booked a room through booking.com, made the payment and sent proof of payment as asked, When we arrived we we told that they had not received payment. We showed them proof and that we sent proof of payment and confirmation pin to reception@ivory as asked. Only to be told that reception is closed so they can't confirm whether we payed or not.

My daughter was cold and tired and we were made to wait for 2hours, back and forth with calls, whatsapp, emails, etc. The attitude of thr staff is very unprofessional, let alone for an institution that is in the tourism sector. All this transpired between 1am and 3am.

I ARRIVED AT NIGHT AND THERES NO HOT WATER.RECEPTIONIST TEBOGO GOES TO CHECK WHY THERE ISNT ANY HOT WATER AND DOESNT EVEN CALL ME TO EXPLAIN WHAT IS WRONG,I HAD TO CALL AGAIN AND ASK HIM WHY THERE ISNT ANY HOT WATER.WALL TILES IN ROOM 17 BATHROOM ARE BADLY DAMAGED AND BROKEN.CEILING IS IN BAD NOTCH TOO..HE CHANGED THE ROOM AND THE TAP WAS BROKEN IN THAT ROOM AS WELL,BATHROOMS ARE OLD AND SHABBY.MR TEBOGO HAS A BAD DONT CARE A DAMN ATTITUDE TOWARDS GUESTS...HE HADNT APOLOGISED EVEN ONCE FOR ALL THIS IRRITATION.IF YOURE LOOKING FOR A GOOD PLACE TO STAY,MY OPINION IS STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS...
