Marico Bosveld Guesthouse — Hotel in Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality

The exterior is charming and quite lovely but there needs to be more training regarding customer service. Upon arrival, we had a fairly indifferent greeting and were not offered the sherry that was clearly there for guests. The room was pleasant enough though clearly there is not enough maintenance as some of the fittings appeared loose or unprofessionally installed.||The disappointment was the dinner which, at nearly R200, only included a steak (admittedly tasty) and a small salad. When I asked how come there was no dessert, the receptionist said that they did not have dessert 'that day' - meaning they usually do but still charged us a fairly steep price. We stayed at this place for the night as we had work in the area. I called in advance to ask for dinner and specified that I was vegetarian. When we got there that evening, they had forgotten to make us dinner, not ideal as the choice of places to eat is very limited. We needed to leave quite early the next day and they told me we would be too early for breakfast and that we could not book lunch packs as they needed to be booked by lunch time. We did not have a good experience during our overnight stay in the guest house, late November 2024. Stay as far away from unit 13 as possible. The fridge does not work and made a hell of a noise all the time which made it impossible to sleep. The seals of the fridge are broken and miniature cockroaches were everywhere even bigger ones that we had to dodge. We had to push some of the (broken) chairs in front of the fridge and it still did not work properly.
