FM GUEST LODGE — Hotel in Randpark Ridge

Worst place ever... Would not recommend to anyone that I care about. Generator kicks in for lights and to power the waterfall on the pool area but not for the TV... Router keeps checking for signal at inconvenient times(night). Expect a cold water shower or bath in the morning ||Night Duty staff if a drunkard and get high thus if you come back late at night expect him not to answer the phone. ||Should you leave your lunch boxes in the kitchen, the staff will either use it or steal it.||Expect to be double charged when you run a tab at the bar - don't forget to check your slip for ordered items.||Dorcas is a very much shallow person and has a distant relationship with the truth... Don't let the fake religious facade fool you.... Make sure you document and record all conversations with her.||The buffet food is bland and tasteless. Should you provide honest feedback, you will then be kicked out immediately and an unforeseen double booking will be cited.||Do not expect a clean kitchen or free use of the kitchen on the day of the buffet and expect the tidying of the lodge to only be done midday on Monday,||For solo women: Expect the router to be down between 10pm and 3am and when you enquire, expect the guy on duty to tell you that he will come to your room. After declining that he comes to your room you the find out the following morning that a Signal tower was down and is undergoing repair - Then you ask yourself since it's a tower problem why did the guy then insist on coming to your room rather than inform you of that?... Creep af!||For guys : Expect to meet with girls who will try and trap you for something that you did not do and have the liver to blackmail -i.e. pay them to shut up. Camera's conveniently work or don't work even though they run on auxiliary power and not affected by loadshedding.||Stay here at your own peril! There's more but I'm emotionally...

The fact is that whatever is said to you telephonically or portrayed online is not the true reflection of what is provided and experienced. Most of the accomodation is like wendy houses and so small, it is attached to your next door neighbour whereby if thy 'r noisy and drinking, talking and singing - you wont be able to sleep until they sleep. ( that is also not monitored). The toilet is not enclosed as you see the person seating there helping himself/herself even if it's your partner, not a good side and not healthy, no wadrops your clothes in the bags or on top of the bags. Swimming pools also nice and clean especially when trvelling with kids (they do enjoy) Linen is changed in the mornings clean but the bed is not that comfortable to sleep on. Because the rooms thy ' r so small - no fridges provided in those respective rooms, all the guest share that one fridge and a stove in the main kitchen. Imagine if a certain group or an individual is cooking, you have to wait until they ' r done. Most of the workers are foreigners who some of them wont even greet you - I am not sure is it because it' s foreignely owned or otherwise I don't know. To me it's like a place where individuals can go and visit places in Gauteng the whole day and just come back to sleep as to whether they will be able to sleep it' s another story. There's a lot that needs to be rectified and I believe a particular state department need to go and visit the place especially those ablution fascilities in the rooms (how will you enjoy your snack when somebody is seating in an open toilet). I would never reccomend it to any anyone I know or not. Unfortunate not to have taken pictures. Worst of all they don't accept debit cards - they demand cash from you and how would you be driving carrying large sums of monies - something that is of a concern for this...

I had a wonderful stay at FM Guest Lodge. From the moment I arrived, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They made sure I felt welcome and comfortable.

The room was big, clean, and cosy. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept well every night. The room had everything I needed, and the little details, like fresh towels and bathroom products, made it feel special. The lodge also has great facilities. I enjoyed relaxing by the pool and spending time in the beautiful garden. The breakfast was delicious. The best part of my stay was the excellent service. The staff really care about their guests and go the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need. This made my stay even better. If you want a clean, comfortable, and friendly place to stay, I highly recommend FM Guest Lodge. I will definitely stay there again!
