Bokamoso Views Guest House — Hotel in Rustenburg Local Municipality

I find it hard to believe all the positive reviews. Based on these reviews, we booked at Bokamoso in Rustenburg.

This property is, in my opinion, not suitable for older visitors or anyone with a handicap.

Our rental car could just about get up an extremely steep driveway. Visitor parking was tricky for almost all vehicles.

The staircase leading to the house had no rails. I tripped as I turned to help my wife who could not manage the stairs. I came very close to falling down the staircase but somehow regained my balance.

I was shown a 3 bed apt (under the house) and was asked if it was suitable. We were quite tired and agreed to the facility.

We were given a lamp in case of load shedding. Surely if you have paying guests, investing in a generator would be one of the measures the owner would take?

The front door was broken, blinds damaged, no carpets in the rooms, trip hazards in very room. The bathroom tap was only providing a dribble. The one bedroom had an extremely low ceiling (app 1.5m clearance).

There were signs of water damage on the floors as brown stains were visible everywhere. The only floor covering was an old very grubby rug.

All the bedding was new and reeked of formaldehyde. I ended up opening a window as the off-gassing gave me a severe headache.

Having made it through the night, we decided to leave even though we paid for two nights. We made our excuses as there is little point in complaining to staff who clearly think what they offered was ok.

As a final comment, I would pay money not to stay at...

Bokamoso Lodge & Conference Centre in Delmas. Maybe people don't give you the honest truth about your establishment.

I am currently there writing this and to say your service is bad is understating the truth.

Upon getting to the gate your male guard insisted on personally searching my wife which I asked why him as there's a female guard there. His answer was "it's company policy" and we either take it or jump. Which is rude to me.

Secondly he refused us entry with coolerboxes while two behind me we easily allowed in. The time is 14:02 you can check the gate footage reverse.

Thirdly your pools are dirty, our health is of little regard to you. I will be taking this further. Your toilets aren't exemplary as well.

Expect further action on my behalf.

We called Winnie, I don’t know what her position is there but she’s very rude that lady, it’s really embarrassing how a black person can ill treat another black person

It was after 21:00 and still no electricity, no back up plan but only insults and bad attitude towards us. They gave us magneto to charge with, which did not fit my type of charger and could not even light up the room.
