We arrived at the resort at 14:00 as we were advised that the resort accepts check-ins at this time. While checking in we were casually advised by the staff that we should keep our wrist bands with us as they will be hosting an event the next day. When we arrived at the chalet, there was a key in the door. At this point we were not sure if this was left there by staff or if another guest was still in the Chalet. We did not want to enter and tried calling reception to advise them of this. After multiple attempts with no answer, we decided to enter to check if anyone was there. When we opened the door, the TV was on and when entering, we realized that the floor was dirty, and somebody left a piece of toilet paper on the floor. One of the doors in the chalet was off its hinge. We then checked to see if there was anything in the chalet that might belong to other guests and found it to be empty. The next morning, one of the staff arrived and asked for the key back, and then just left. We tried making breakfast and found that the pan provided by the resort has not been cleaned. The Braai facilities was also not cleaned. Later, that day we tried going to the pool and got a surprise as to how much people were at the pool area. The “event” they were alluding to the previous day was a concert held by a local artist that went on well into the evening, meaning that we could not use the facilities. If we were advised when making the booking that they are planning an event of this size, we would have found another resort. The main pool was under maintenance and we were not advised of this. The last complaint I have is for the staff. They address you with a lack of respect, sort of like they are doing you a favour. The rest of them do not even address you in English. To be honest, I am not happy. I feel like it was not worth the money spent...
Read moreThe chalets are not well maintained at all. There was a list of items meant to be in the unit, but it was far from complete.....||We were short of glasses, cups, plates, cutlery, no remote for A/C, beds were not made up, the roof looked as though it was just short of caving in. Floors definitely have not been washed or swept in some time.( I ended up doing this)||Then the pool......well....that was a nightmare of note from beginning to end! Drunk people getting more drunk, bottles in and around the pool, even with signage saying it is prohibited. With the level of drunkenness rising so were the slurs etc, so much so I rather got my kids to leave the pool. ||In my opinion, we had paid for full use of their amenities and because of their lack of control over day visitors that extended into early hours of the morning we were forced to lock ourselves in the chalets due to feeling unsafe.||Will I return?......... no!||Would I recommend anyone to go there?......NO!||Is it...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible. This used to be a very beautiful place but be warned, swings are falling apart, sharp wire fences falling over, tennis court neglected, you have to keep an eye on the kids because they will go and play on these things. There used to be a bird enclosure with small animals at the entrance, it's also abandoned and neglected. The whole place could be so much but lately it's all falling apart. Just like the bird park near the civic centre. The reason I gave it 1 star is because you can see it used to be a 5 star. Not even the security do their job seriously, they all congregate at the main entrance and 3 times I've been there I've felt either unsafe or had a security issue. So if you want to see the waterfalls go in a group, this is no longer a young couple going for a hike on a date kinda...
