L’Abri — Hotel in Saldanha Bay Local Municipality

Our 10th wedding anniversary at L'Abri was truly unforgettable. The day before our trip, Judith, the owner, kindly reached out to thank us for our booking and express her excitement about our stay. I mentioned that it was our anniversary and promised to message her when we were on our way from Cape Town. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Judith, who made us feel instantly at home. She welcomed us with a beautiful bouquet of deep pink roses and a handwritten note—such a thoughtful gesture. The room was cool, with windows open to let in the fresh air, and cold water waiting in the fridge, which was a much-needed refreshment after our hot journey. The cottage was spotless and thoughtfully stocked with everything we might need, including extra crisp bedding, an iron, wood for the braai, and an excellent selection of coffee and milk. The appliances were pristine, and everything was fully functional. The location was ideal, just a 5-minute drive from all the attractions of Langebaan, yet the estate itself provided a peaceful retreat for walks. We enjoyed seeing springbok, ostriches, and wild tortoises during our stroll. The heated pool with spacious lounges was the perfect spot to relax by the water. The cottage was beautifully maintained, with stunning handcrafted wood furniture made by Pete, the owner. We went down to Langebaan from Joburg to get married and staying at L'Abri made all the wedding stress melt away. The decor was lovely, room was so clean and we appreciated the ice old waters in the fridge. The extra swimming towels and amazing large shower!! We were completely relaxed. Judith and Pete are 2 of the most welcoming awesome people we have met, they truly made the stay so great!! From Judith welcoming us as we arrived, lovely pink roses in the room, always such great conversations with both of them right up to the most incredibly comfortable pillows!!! Yes it might be weird to comment on the pillows but I can't stand these soft pillows that disappear when I lie down and I had the best nights sleep during our time there.
