Two night away with my daughter to go hiking in the Jonkershoek Nature Reserve. We had initially booked 2 weeks prior, but it rained torrentially and the owner, Sonja, very kindly permitted us to shift our dates and we were lucky with wonderful weather. ||||A little brook trickles past the comfortable verandah of the two adjoining units. The unit is tiny but neat, offering all that you may require. Comfy cozy beds with many fluffy blankets and lots of towels. Kitchen stocked with all necessities including delicious home-baked crunchies and rusks. The shower/bathroom is absolutely tiny but adequate. No shortage of hot water. Everything is frog-themed! From the green crockery to the little frog sculptures all over, it's a fun theme carried through the property.||||The Reserve is just a few km's further along and offers wonderful hiking and biking trails with rock pools, waterfalls and a marvellous diversity of proteas and other indigenous plants.||||This lovely hide-away cannot be beat for tranquility.
