Moffid's Place — Hotel in Swellendam Local Municipality

We spent no more than 14hours at Moffid's place, in preparation to our wedding weekend. Despite such a short time, I think it might just be one of our most favorite spots in SA. The house is beautiful and tasteful but still it's so much more than that. Simon welcomed us with some really nice music, fire, conversation etc etc etc. Definitely an authentic experience showcasing the best of Afrikaans/local hospitality, culture and heritage. Greatly looking forward to our return. Have an insane urge to cook a poitjie in the lounge fire place while enjoying some special local wines next...

This accommodation is an absolute scam. When we arrived there was another family renting the property for long term. Trying to make contact with the listed hosts Oena escapes, the service was atrocious. Sad that a brand that seems to be great in the hospitality industry has such poor...

Oh this was lovely. Its an old house, wooden floors and leather. The view was a delight! It's located in town, but sort of just outside! And I think that's where the magic starts.There is a cat who lives around here, so playful and loving. We really enjoyed it here....
