Lydenburg Manor Guest House — Hotel in Thaba Chweu Local Municipality

This place isn't suitable for vegetarians. No one knows how to cater for it and will make you feel like you're an inconvenience. The room is comfortable, the shower isn't though.After a full day of work, we get to the guest house. After informing them that I am vegetarian in advance, I get chicken by mistake. The host isn't very friendly about it and makes me check with my colleagues if there was an error in which there wasn't and her idea to rectify this was just to dish out whatever leftover food she can find in her kitchen. 100% not impressed at all, especially considering the dinner rate which is charged and what I got. The service was amazing. The room was stunning, comfortable and luxurious. They were even prepared for loadshedding. They were very friendly to bikers (and we get the opposite alot). I only have 2 suggestions. Number 1, please add more coffee, sugar and creamer to the room - there wasn't enough for my husband and myself to even have 1 cup of coffee each. Number 2, don't let the staff in to clean the rooms until the guests have fully checked out. The cleaning lady was in our room while we were eating breakfast. Other than that, we will definately book in again next year for our annual function...

Easily accessible as you come into Lydenburg from Dulstroom. We arrived around 22:00and were welcomed by Casper (friendly, but definitely not a ghost). Our room was outside the main guesthouse building and looked into the well maintained garden. A fridge, kettle with tea coffee and milk, satellite TV were the prerequisites of a decent room.
