If Not Why Not Guesthouse — Hotel in Tlokwe Local Municipality

We arrived. The front of house lady, and I'm being generous when I call her front of house, barely greeted us. When I introduced ourselves, her first comment was, "you have to pay". Granted yes, absolutely we will pay but can you welcome us with a little more courtesy and manners. She very unwillingly showed us the rooms but pity the doors as she slammed them open. When my partner indicated that usual practice is to pay upon our departure, we were insulted with "how can I trust you'll pay"...so... We walked out to not return. I would rather drive home than stay at this "guesthouse". I would not recommend this place. Find anywhere...

There’s no way of letting them know you’ve arrived, no bell, wrong phone number on the sign. When the gate eventually opened the receptionist explained that she didn’t hear us as she was asleep at the desk- IN BROAD DAYLIGHT. The aircon in our room didn’t work in the middel of summer, the breakfast was disgusting, the “braai area” is not worth its name …. I can go on forever but I’d rather just try forget this place. I was incredibly excited to stay here. We were met with irritation, it was as though we were bothering the “reception” lady(just to be clear, not the owner). Kept watching something on her phone(tv show) while interacting with us, we did not feel welcome at all. Thought it was because it was night time, but the next day she still continued treating us as though we were bothering her.
