Potch Manor Boutique Guest House — Hotel in Tlokwe Local Municipality

Liked · The place is in nice quiet area, well maintained property. Good linen, bedding.||||Disliked · This booking left me with the mixed feeling. Place is marketed as boutique guest house, but on arrival we found that in the room only half of toilet paper roll, one tiny (literally tiny!) shower gel, no fridge, no hair drier and half broken electric kettle (it does not switch off when water is boiled) and flickering light in the bathroom... Other than that place is nice. On my requests only, items were brought in. Interestingly, when asked for the hairdryer, Willie (manager living on the property) stated that they do not supply guests with it (again, boutique guest house!), and he can buy me one and charge me for it. I have declined this offer. Later in the evening, his wife called me that she bought one and placed it in our room at no charge.||The place is marketed as "Breakfast inclusive". They simply issued us with vouchers (R100 per person) for the restaurant 2 km away (!!!!) from the property! It could be inconvenient as, in our case, we needed to have breakfast at various times. We had one car and my wife left at premises had to wait for me and our daughter to return home to take her for breakfast. The advert is misleading!||9:30 in the morning cleaner arrived to clean the place as, she stated that we must be out by 10:00 anyway so she could begin...

Our host Shavonne, was absolutely helpful and friendly. It was my first time in the area and she responded to my numerous enquiries. Upon arrival, she was very professional and helpful. She went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. The rooms were clean...
