This is a truly beautiful property and Armstrong's cottage is secluded, delightful and also perfectly equipped. It included, for free, the company of 3 little Jack Russel terriers with the most delightful personalities.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and Jo kept in touch even though she was not at home that weekend.
While we did not catch any trout we could see they were there, just not interested that weekend.
Our midweek stay was very enjoyable although I think it can get a bit busy on the weekends, which is not for us, but suitable for others.

Your friendly staff literally operated in the shadows and we couldn’t be more refreshed even if we tried !
