This being our very first ever visit to The Midlands in Kwa-Zulu Natal, we could not have picked a better, more perfect place to stay than Notting Hill Lodge!||From the moment of arrival to the moment we left, Lorraine and Koos treated us like family, and made us feel at home. Our room (Room 1) was huge, tastefully decorated, had a very comfortable and enormous bed, and also comfy armchairs to relax in.||There is a communal lounge area as well, also very comfy and welcoming.||Breakfast was superb! Generous and hearty, freshly cooked and delicious, especially the corn fritters! Oh and home made preserves to go with the delicious breads.||Above all it is Lorraine and Koos who make this such a special place. Read moreWe stayed a night here, and it was absolutely great. We enjoyed it so much. They do have a bit of a fly problem, but other than that, the place is absolutely perfect. It's so peaceful and beautiful. There's so much to do and see. We took walks, played in the pool, and even played some board games (they have an impressiveselectionof games). There's a little lake on the premises you can walk to. The dogs on the property are a BONUS, so friendly and cute.
The hosts Lorraine and Koos are SUCH wonderful hosts. So friendly and helpful. Lorraine even took the time to show me her Christmas tree filled with ornaments from her life... It was truly magical and special.

Friendly and accommodating owners with access to rolling green lawns. Easy drive to north and south hot spots on the Meander to avoid having to do everything by the clock on one day.
