The good the stuff member or rather the manager was kind enough to call us for dinner orders as the kitchen closes at 7pm and we were yet to arrive... He also allowed us to keep our perishables in the fridge until our next reservation... That was very kind...
The bad The beds are super old and uncomfortable, unless perhaps I sleep on a good quality mattress because I seem to be the only person complaining.. when you turn the mattress moves on the base and you can feel the spring coils... I didn't sleep at night at all because the tent is built under a tree that bears seeds that would fall on the roof sheet structure built above the tent so since it was windy the seeds kept on falling on the sheet making noise...
Their restaurants is the only place I know whereby when you order a plate of chips you are given a handful of chips you'd get as a side portion, and they see nothing wrong with it... The Lodge is situated close to the entrance to the Kosi Bay lakes and so it is simple to buy permits for either the lakes or for Kosi River mouth - the latter is definitely worth a visit. We had a wonderful stay and were surprised by the variety of activities and outings that are available...

Johan the Manager went out of his way to make sure that everyone was looked after. Meals were scrumptuous and good portion sizes. It is a close hop to the border for those travelling on to Mozambique. I stayed in a chalet which also had air-conditioning, a must in the summer heat.
I do recommend a stay here. Its a relaxing stop over place or place to unwind for a few days. Thanks to everyone that made my short stay a great one. I appreciate...
