Mandy and I stayed recently at Kosi Bay Casitas from the 26th of Dec 2018 into the new year on the 2nd of Jan 2019. Had a super amazing time and now planning our next trip to Kosi Bay Casitas. We were both welcomed warmly by Ray, Jodhi and their team - what awesome and wonderful people! :) :) Upon arrival, the Campsite was clean with a powerpoint, a really neat braai and grill as well as a big tree to help against the sun and weather. I did a walk around Kosi Bay Casitas and it's quite neatly set up with a tree at every Campsite. Also, a huge plus is if there were any concerns, Jodhi, Ray and their team was always available to sort it out as quick as possible :) Whilst at Kosi Bay Casitas we did the Turtle Tour, 3 Lake cruise & Transfer to the Kosi Bay mouth for some swimming and snorkelling. Arrangements/Bookings were so easy to make and the transfers were great as we do not have a 4x4. The Turtle tour was great! We were so honoured to witness a Loggerhead come up to the beach to lay her eggs and make her way back into the sea - a wonderful experience. We are hoping upon our next visit to witness the baby turtles hatching and making their way into the sea. Just a note; when you go on the 3 Lake Cruise - take your snorkelling equipment :) Don't miss out on this amazing tour. If you don't have snorkelling equipment not to worry, the skipper has some goggles or you can just take a nice cooling dip. Kosi Bay Mouth was super; we snorkelled and saw so many different types of fish. The Mouth itself really makes you feel refreshed - the water so clear and surroundings of nature - protected and breathtaking - all around you. Also did a walk to the 3rd Lake in the morning, upon arrival at the first gate, friendly 4x4 people offered to take us the rest of the way and others offered upon our walk back to camp. So if you would like to take a morning stroll and get a bit tired on the way, there are quite a few friendly travellers on the path. In regards to the restaurant; Wow and wow again. Food was delicious and it's by the pool which is cleaned every day. Had a lot of fun and the Restaurant staff were super welcoming and kind. Josh the barman will give you a show of flaring and Jane will always give you a smile. Cocktails by the pool is an absolute pleasure, don't miss out on their delicious and refreshing Pinacoladas - YUM! During this festive time, Ray & Jodhi arranged a band - Bill not only plays & sings some amazing tunes - but he also does MIC night. With this opportunity, I picked up the guitar and played and sang for everyone at Kosi Bay Casitas - had a blast. New years eve was even better, they had Bill, open MIC night and played some tunes from their great sound system. We were allowed to bring our Sparkling wine to pop as the clock hit midnight for 2019. We also danced and celebrated with everyone - including Ray & Jodhi - An awesome New years eve we will never forget - it is now our best new years party we have ever had with a free round of shots from our hosts in celebration - thank you. This is such an amazing place to stay and I would like to give a huge thank you to Ray & Jodhi and the team. KOSI BAY CASITAS Rocks! I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone. See you all soon on our next trip to Kosi Bay and thank you again.

Our group spent 6 nights camping at camp site 2. There was plenty of room for us to be comfortable. We were given a warm welcome by Johdi and Ray and they went on to assist us with booking Turtle Tour and Tour of 3 lakes. The tour was fantastic and a highlight of our stay. There was always hot water for a shower after the day’s adventures. Bar and restaurant is great with delicious food when you don’t feel like making dinner at the camp site. Sbu and Jane were friendly and made you feel like old friends whenever you saw them. Communal kitchen to clean up also has seating with gas stove and kettle if the rain is getting you down. I would definitely recommend this as a Kosi Bay stop due to having extremely friendly and helpful people around to make you feel comfortable.

Kosi Baai offers a range of camping and guesthouse s to stay at. But not as accommodating and friendly as Kosi Baai Casitas. You can watch sports in the restaurant bar while the kids enjoy the swimming pool on the deck. They also offer a range of activities that could be booked at the office. From scupe diving to nature walks and Fishing charters.

KOSI BAY 3 APRIL TO 8 APRIL 2015||||We booked at Kosi Bay Cabins self catering two months ago. Stafford O’Gorman who is the CEO of the Cabin gave us all the info we needed before hand and his response time was very quick. We arrived at Kosi Bay as planned. The weather was perfect. The town Manguzi is small but have a Super Spar, Boxter Supermarket, Engen and Total Garage to do your last minute shopping and fill up fuel. Upon our arrival Sanette welcomed us warm heartedly and made us feel at home. We unpacked and Stafford arranged a Gillie to take us to the lake so that we familiarise ourselves with the area and don’t waste the day. The Cabin we lived in was picture perfect according to his web site. The staff were very friendly and the Cabin is cleaned daily with all the utensils you need. The restaurant is open the whole day with meals prepared daily according to your request. The food that was prepared for us was a sea food platter for two that will give Ocean Basket run for their money ”Portuguese Peri Peri”. The area is very scenic with nature at its best. Stafford is a very well known person in the area and his resort. We visited the Kosi Bay River Mouth/beach and really enjoyed that area. This place is beautiful for the kids and if you like snorkelling. The water is crystal clear. You need to book one day in advance to visit all beaches due to limited parking. The Parks Board is 1.2km from Stafford compared to other areas which makes life easy to do booking. You definitely need a 4 x 4 to visit the whole area of Kosi Bay especially the beaches.||My friend from Johannesburg booked at Camp Jade and was very disappointed. Not what you see on the internet. He did not stay and drove to Durban to stay. After explaining to Stafford about my friend’s incident, he offered us a free weekend at his lodge. Stafford has a heart of gold when it comes to his guests.||He is right when he says that “you arrive at this place as a guest but when you leave you are a friend”.||Stafford we are definitely coming back soon.||May you place prosper in many folds as you made our holiday a memorable one.||Regards||Ben and Sandy||SOUTH...

This was our first time heading into Kosi Bay and as a last minute trip all the major lodges and hideaways were fully booked.

While looking for something we stumbled across Kosi Bay Casitas, and we were not disappointed. We arrived there and setup in our camper van.

From the onset if you are camping, they have one concrete block that works well for a van, the other sites are very uneven but there are 2 to 3 other sites that will work well for a camper van.

For camping you can share a communal kitchen, equipped with a gas stove and sinks for washing up. It is also a great way to hide from the rain if there is a shower.

The ablutions are small, for the men side there is a toilet and shower that is separate, and right next to it another double shower with toilet. I did not have to wait while I was there but I can imagine a full camp site could make it difficult.

They do have a restaurant and bar on site, you can lounge by the pool during the afternoon digging on Pizza, or sitting under the stars at night enjoying the warm atmosphere and music in the background. Definitely something to do after a long day at the mouth and you could not care to do your own cooking.

However apart from the small details the hosts definitely go out their way to make you feel at home. Jodhi and Ray, thank you immensely for your hospitality during the weekend, from constantly trying to shift yourself around to make us feel welcome, to trying to organize last minute excursions, and even closing the bar so we could have a work conference call. You guys are absolutely amazing.

I would highly recommend a trip out to Kosi...
