Kastelein Guesthouse — Hotel in uPhongolo Local Municipality

Our experience with Kastelein was fantastic right from the start. Rene was efficient and sorted everything out for us. She even went as far as to book dinner for us at a nearby restaurant. The accommodation is absolutely beautiful with crisp white linen and everything you could possibly require in the room is available. We travel a lot and I can honestly say that nothing could have been improved or done differently at Kastelein. It was extremely quiet and we really got to relax. We had a sleep over at Kastelein B&B in Pongola on our way to Mozambique. The service was amazing - we arrived quite late and wanted to leave at 04h30 in the morning. There was no hassles. We could just open gate with remote and drop keys in box.

I was delighted when I walked into our room. It was beautiful! Ihave never seen someone give so much attention to detail. From embroided towels, to yummy rusks, to bottled water and long life milk. The utensils were exquisite and the bedding amazing.

I often work in rural areas around Pongola. My stay at Kastelein has never disappointed - it always amazes me how far Danie, Rene and Chris will go out of their way to make me feel comfortable. The rooms are immaculate and the breakfast is always a treat. Mandla is always ready to help me carry my luggage and the ladies ready to help where they can.
