Elegant Lodge Pongola, KZN — Hotel in uPhongolo Local Municipality

Booking was made online and when I arrived at gate and buzzed around 18h30 nobody answered.|I then called the cell number and a very rude lady answered and made it seem as though I'm interrupting her and an inconvenience!|She did not bother apologizing for keeping me standing outside the property.|Upon my arrival into the property Nobody bothered greeting me.||Even though I stayed here many times before and the hostess says she does recall my face, she demanded payment and I was happy to comply, however she could not produce an invoice or receipt after they swiped my card.|The point being is if you quick to demand payment then surely you must issue a receipt with the same efficiency.||The next morning again nobody (staff) bothers greting you at breakfast .||The waitress handed me the menu without saying a single word and I was supposed to guess as to whether she is|handing me the menu to review or want to| Take my breakfast order.||After I greet her and enquire if she is here to to take my order, I request her to have my invoice / receipt prepared whilst I eat so I can leave as soon as I am done.||As can be expected from Elegant Lodge, my receipt was not done.|After I eaten I walked to office and requested my receipt the lady inside the office did not bother greeting me handed me the receipt - not even a thank you or drive safely!||It is very very sad when both the ground staff and the manager cannot greet guests or be professional when executing their duties.||The owner has taken great strides in this establishment yet ALL the staff does not carry their duties with the same stride.||The overall experience is that the staff think they doing you a favour and it is clear they don't value your support.||I will not be returning to Elegant Lodge, Pongola- they certainly don't value returning...

I called and they said there's rooms still available. When I arrived the first question they asked me was "who let me in?" I have never been disgraced . Further more they tell me that it's fully booked after I called and was told there's rooms still available. I was utterly disappointed as this was my first choice but had to settle somewhere else. Please can you be honest in telling us about rooms available so that we don't waste time and petrol. It would also help if you could just remember what customer service is. You have an elegant Guest house, but your service is appalling. I would presume that since it is ELEGANT LODGE then everything about it would be "elegant" including manners . If you are traveling through Pongola or wanting to just escape the busy-ness then Elegant is that stop over or escape. Set in the middle of one of the local residential areas, Elegant is a beautiful, serene setting bound to help you relax. The rooms are fully equipped and the linens are the best. You have access to wifi whilst in your room or moving around the property. If you want to go for a round of golf the Country Club is just a brisk 1 minute walk away.
