YES, the view is spectacular, and YES, the pool and BBQ areas are great! However, there is a lot that leaves to be desired. We stayed here as a family of 15, renting the three biggest apartments for a duration of 5 nights. Given the accommodation is being advertised as luxury guest houses, the place is in urgent need of tender loving care (TLC). Safety-wise, the accommodation is gated with a small metal fence on the roadside; meanwhile, on the pool side, there are no gates preventing people from getting onto the plot. The Gordon's Bay area is not known to be necessarily dangerous; however, this may be a big factor if you are not at ease knowing that you are not gated with electric fences or at least burglar bars. Additionally, the rooms did not feature any safe to store important items. Entrance doors and sliding doors and some windows were defective. The kitchens in each apartment were large; however, most of the equipment at our disposal was in a bad state. The overall cleanliness and condition of furniture was lacking throughout the apartments. Having stayed here with an elderly lady as well as kids, we found the place to be quite dangerous for them, with questionably built stairs all around the property as well as wonky pieces of furniture inside. There were loose electrical wires, broken glass sinks, some plugs and lamps were taped up. My general feeling is that the owner has tried to cram and fit as many people as possible into the plot of land, leading to odd and rushed and sometimes unsafe architectural choices that make the apartments unpersonalized and not luxurious.

Thank you Niall for your fantastic and comfortable accommodation at Bikini Beach Manor, nestled below the mountains of Gordon's Bay, we could rest and stay in safety and enjoyed every minute of each day. The views from most windows and the balcony was breathtaking!. We saw Table Mountain, Lions Head and False Bay over the vast waters of the Atlantic Sea clearly and experience the most beautiful sun sets. We could also see Strand, Somerset West and the Harbour of Gordons Bay. Watched fishing and sail boats leaving the Harbours and returning safely back. There is lovely beaches and wonderful Restaurants close by and so much more to do. Thank you to Nyasha for his friendly help and service at all times. Will see you again 🌟 Mart and George.

Bikini Beach Manor, an immediate comment would be ''stunning, breathtaking views'' - and that's where it ends! Unfortunately there is no option for a zero star rating for the Host/Owner. We booked two nights’ accommodation at Bikini Beach Manor, two sets of families in two separate self-catering apartments (which I have to admit does need some sprucing/cleaning up) – elderly parents and 2 little young kids – all well within our Hosts specifications, and all fully paying patrons, 8 of us in total. Out of no-where our Host, barges in on the Saturday afternoon being verbally abusive, using foul language, in his loud 'British like' accent, in front of the young kids and instructing us to leave the premises as we had ‘’manipulated’’ and transgressed ‘’his rules’’ by having 4 family members over during the afternoon just to share lunch/early supper with us. Our other 4 family members had already made their own accommodation bookings elsewhere and had just come over to visit us and share a meal. The host of Bikini Beach Manor did not want to understand this and carried on ranting and raving loudly. In all our years of holidays/getaways we have never encountered a self-catering place where we weren’t able to have visitors over. This entire ordeal was extremely unsettling! Eventually he conceded and said the family must leave no later than 9pm (they weren’t even going to be there that long in the first instance). At about 21h48 that same evening, I was walking up from the one apartment with my small daughter and out the shadows in the dark the Host appeared (he is huge in size) and shouts out why are your guests still here! Visibly taken aback and totally confused I told him they had left at 20h58 already, and he should go and check his security cameras – which I think he sits and watches guests all the time. He had mistaken our vehicles for the guest’s vehicle, despite our vehicle being there since 2pm for check in already! Clearly there was something more going on here than us just ‘’transgressing the Host's Rules at this establishment!’’.

The South African spirit of Ubuntu does not feature at all at Bikini Beach Manor! Imperialist thinking is still very much prevalent! Bikini Beach Manor is not a place we will be going to again and of course will not be...

This is by far the worst vacation accomodation experience I have ever had. 1stly,the owner Niall is racist,he made different comments to us on arrival about africans being loud and that it in our culture to behave in certain ways. 2ndly he purposely did not give us any warning about the area having baboons and there were no warning signs about this area having baboons. We were brutally attacked by a baboon who took our food and left 1 of us injured. When we reported this to Niall he told us that it is nature and that it common sense for the area to have baboons,he also did not bother to come check on us on how badly hurt we were.3rdly when at the premises it felt more like prison than a vacation because Niall is always popping up to watch what we are...
