Vindoux Guest Farm and Spa — Hotel in Witzenberg Local Municipality

So disappointing. All my partner wanted for his birthday was experiencing a hot tub while on holiday. I was so excited that we found the Vindoux Spa starlight hot tub but it was the most unbearable hot tub to date. We booked a 40 minute hot tub session of which at least half was interrupted because the water was excruciating which we communicated. At that point staff came to put in cold water which barely helped.

We weren’t event able to put on the jets or the actual bubbles because it felt as if we were in a sauna. Not enjoyable and then no extra time even added.

We also then had to add in our cold water which again - cut into our time. I wouldn’t say it’s not worth it. The experience has potential especially for the affordable price point but even when we addressed the issues when paying instead of listening the staff member tried to tell us all sort of excuses and stories. We blatantly said that it wasn’t enjoyable, water was too hot and it wasn’t worth it.

Coming from Cape Town and having this part of what I do, which is review places, this has to be the worst hot tub ever experienced....

A throw back to Vindoux guest farm. A.perfect stay in one of the tree houses. A working wine farm, surrounded by various wine farms in the Tulbagh area. Tranquil working farm 6km from the little Boland town of Tulbach. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Surrounded by mountains. The accommodation is comfortable and very well maintained. Serviced daily. Beds are comfortable and our unit had a bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet. All necessary amenities for self catering...and no TV which was great to be away from it all and totally relax.
