I booked two treatments at the spa, a Mummy to be massage and a foot ritual treatment for this morning. When I arrived I was invited by (very friendly staff I will say) but the actual venue is very run down, I was asked to sit in an outside waiting area. It is filthy, cobwebs on chairs, the arm rests of the armchairs are brown they are so dirty, leaves all over the floor. Then when it was time to go to the treatment room I lay on the specialised bed for pregnant women, the bed was so uncomfortable I actually cancelled the massage. There was a wooden plank pushing against my breasts and even with a towel it was not a relaxing rest. There was no way I could lie there for 45 mins and try bare through the pain of that massage bed. The towels and linen also very old and tattered. Then went to do my next treatment in the nail room, hard wooden benches with wooden boxes to sit at, again the room felt dirty and unloved with no fresh air. No relaxing spa music, one therapist is sick and coughing constantly around the spa with a mask on which made me feel nervous being pregnant and catching Covid or flu. The towel used in my treatment was again extremely old and tattered. Just really did not feel worth the price of the treatment and I didnât feel relaxed at all. I would highly recommend management consider a full revamp of the entire spa otherwise rather donât bother offering this on your farm. Iâm sorry if itâs harsh but I was so put off this morning and...
Read moreI took a solo trip to this beautiful treehouse escape, and even though I stayed in the honeymoon treehouse, it was absolutely perfect for me. It was peaceful, cozy, and surrounded by wildlife I even cried a little, just taking in how magical it felt to be there alone.
The staff were incredible so kind, helpful, and genuinely warm. From helping me start a fire (which I didnât know how to do!) to preparing the sweetest little picnic basket for me, they made me feel cared for the entire time. The spa was amazing, especially the surprise salt room, and the pool and outdoor garden were just as lovely.
One of my favorite moments was soaking in the bathtub, lighting candles, and watching the stars. It was only a two-hour drive from Cape Town, but it felt like stepping into another world.
Whether youâre traveling solo or with a partner, I highly recommend this place. Romantic, sweet, and so special truly a sanctuary...
Read moreImpossible to rate. Aside from the tree houses, there are six cottages. They are very rustic. The two cheapest are out of reach of the wifi. We struggled for an hour before being moved to another cottage.
Also, this resort is very child friendly, to the point where there's a children's play area directly in front of the cheapest cottages. And past that, a busy road. If the neighbors don't wake you, then a rooster will at 7:30. Some windows just have blinds so your room will be bright by then.
We were lucky there were few guests & zero children when we visited, so we enjoyed the peace & tranquility. The grounds are very nice, the pool terrific (though not lit after dark), & from the raised deck -- perfect for drinks or coffee -- we saw two distant springboks. Service is excellent. Location is pretty great too: near Saronsberg winery, Montpellier winery, &...
