We usually don’t stay in budget hotels, but this place looked really nice, had great reviews and an amazing price ($38) so we just had to try it out. We’re glad we did, as we found it to be one of the best value hotels we stayed at in Korea. It’s well located right next to a river park with great access to the city’s biking/walking routes. There is a handy convenience store right next to the hotel and it is about a 30min walk or 10 min bike ride into the city center and the famous Dakgalbi Alley. There is a good bike rental place just 500m away, across and canal. There is free parking at the hotel. The area is a bit tight, but there is space. Our room was quite nice but basic, a bit on the small side, bright, very well laid out, and well-organized. We had a nice view out over the canal and park and virtually no outside road noise when the windows were closed. In our room we had all of the mod-cons you’d expect from a mid-upper end hotel: TV, AC, free Wifi, fridge, hairdryer, toiletries & lotions, bathrobes, etc. – really impressive and comfortable. ||On the negative side, the service was pretty bad. The guy who checked us in was a bit surly and hardly engaged with us at all, giving us virtually no information at all. He just gave us our key card and told us to go. We had paid for breakfast to be included in our room price, but when we went to eat, we found that the dining area was under renovation and they weren’t providing breakfast. We weren’t even given notice about this when we checked in and hotel management failed to provide any kind of alternative breakfast option, such as at the café next door. We found this to be very poor attention to customer service, even ignoring the fact that we had paid for this at the time of booking.||Overall, we had a good stay and would definitely recommend this place to other travelers. The room and facilities are great – just don’t expect any customer service, and possibly no breakfast....
Read moreAfter passing by a few motels, I was a bit worried about the place we booked but as soon as we entered the lobby, my worries were put to rest. The hotel seems pretty new and as we entered the lobby, we were greeted by a super friendly staff who even upgrade us to another room. The other staff we met during the rest of our stay were also just as friendly.||||Our room was on the 7th floor and we had 2 quiet nights of sleep. Our room was clean and the hotel provided us with: a robe, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, hair dryer and towels. We also had a tub in our bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioner worked perfectly. ||||The whole concept of this hotel is very modern and wood-based. There is a computer you can use in the lobby where you can print, photocopy or send a fax for free. There is also a restaurant (Flapjacks) right next to the hotel which serves western food (although I don't recommend going there.)||||The location of the hotel is also very convenient. There is a CU convenient store right around the corner and a 10 minute drive away from the university area as well as a 10-20 minute drive away from the Gallery Cafe, Skywalk etc ..||||This is now my go-to hotel whenever I...
